Dr. Kishore Tipirneni

Let’s start with when I made my appointment I asked for my ortho Dr. and they made my appointment not mentonioning my Dr was no longer with the practice. Which is how I ended up with this Dr who had no bedside manner. Had X-rays off wrong body part taken. Pushed on the sore area a couple times gave a diagnosis, said I’ll give you a cortisone shot, no discussion of diagnosis or what to do for it, just a shot, I had to ask how long the shot would last, answer forever. Out the door I went and obviously will never go back!

The staff is remarkable. Dr. Tipirneni is very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He did surgery on my leg and I would have no one else ever work on me again.

Very disappointed. I have been resting for a month with a calf/Achilles injury been goi g to PT to treat with no success and I have Boston Marathon in a month. Haven’t been able to run more than two miles. He told me it’s achilles Tendinitis-to take Advil before a run and ice after. Very basic. I asked if I should continue dry needling. He said he did not know. Really? After a month rest icing Advil - continue when it’s not working. Very passive and appeared uneducated on a basic injury and a course of action.

I'm a physician, and I know a lot of orthopedic surgeons, but when I needed to have a knee replacement, I chose to see Dr. Kishore Tipirneni. He and his staff are excellent, and he has a wonderful team that he works with at Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital. Some day I will probably have to have my other knee replaced, and I will go back to Dr. Tipirneni.

Initial visit with Dr. T lasted about 3 minutes, during which time he scheduled me for hand surgery. He did not seem to care about developing a doctor-patient relationship. He did not discuss my issue, although I had a pretty good idea of what needed to happen, since I had researched my condition. I saw Dr. T again for about 3 minutes on surgery day, when he stopped by to mark my hand for the incision. He did not explain the procedure or ask if I had any questions or concerns. During my 3-minute post-op visit, Dr. T glanced at my hand while I was sitting and he was standing, asked me to make a fist, and sent me on my way. Had he taken a closer look he would have noticed that my incision was not closing properly and required additional stitches. As it is, I am left with annoying lumps of scar tissue in the palm of my hand. One star to give him the benefit of the doubt and because I did not advocate for myself.

Seems Dr. T doesn"t want to spend more time with you then necessary in HIS eyes... but what about mine... Pre surgery appt. was about 2 minutes..post surgery 2 minutes.. follow up appt..2 minutes... Feel as though I didn't get all of my questions asked or answered...

Dr Tipirneni is skilled as a surgeon but seems to lack the personal skills to listen to patient concerns or to give recommendations for further activities post surgery. I expressed concerns about pain one year post surgery and he had no comments or suggestions. A week later, I requested my records and my concerns weren’t even listed much less addressed in his notes. Again, the surgery was successful. For that I’d recommend him. I just needed better “bedside” care.

He replaced my knee and it was very successful. I live some distance, but will drive to keep him as my doctor. He is gentle, kind, patient about explaining what will be done and answers all my questions. Wish all doctors were as easy to work with! Highly recommend him and his partners!

Staff couldn't figure out which doctor I should be seen by based on my condition so I got stuck with him. Staff was courteous when I arrived for the appointment. When Dr Tipirneni came in, I told him what was going on and for how long. My "appointment" with him was done in less than five minutes, with no particular treatment plan as far as pain management or any type of physical therapy. His diagnosis was, "Oh, this is typical and it'seems normal for people get swelling." Unfortunately, the reason I saw a doctor was because it is NOT normal for me, and it's causing me pain and discomfort on a daily basis. I'm pretty sure this idiot was done with me the minute he saw me, knew I wasn't going to need surgery for anything, thus no dollar signs over my head.

I had surgery from Dr. Tippernini 15 years ago. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be able to use my right hand or work for a living. Was so thankful for him doing my surgery.
