Dr Booth gave me a more realistic and blunt assessment of my current problems with bowels, possibility of vaginal canal loss, and what I am capable of doing for my future with vaginal function. I believe I may have heard some of the information before from my general oncologist and radiation oncologist, but heard and processed it more deeply from another woman - "if you don't use it, you lose it". I'm going to get back to using the vaginal trainers again, as I had stopped!Also, the timeframes for the scar tissue to recover were different (longer) than what I was led to believe by my oncology team (SW OK Cancer Center in Lawton). Overall, it was some harsh truths which I needed to hear and appreciated that.
