Dr K Olafson ( Orlando ) and Dr Susan Maynard PhD ( Miami ) were the ONLY FLORIDA Evaluation experts who not only were certified but their understanding , patience and humility in handling properly and ethically the DESPARATELY NEEDED EVALUATIONS AFTER my young 18-29 yr old son was suddenly burdened with the age onset of so many severely mentally ill symptoms. Dr Olafson stood by us both . It was not easy . He met my son in the Behaviour hospital ( lock -up) was able with the professional knowledge , caring plus talent and so much experience to handle getting my extremely ill adult son ((who Always refuses ))these 5-6 + hrs evaluations to properly DOCUMENT DSM IQ brain measurements really not ( GUESSING!! Or NOT BIASED !) required and needed to DESPARATELY and properly diagnose specific proven behaviours , reactions , thoughts and beliefs that affect with the horrific symptoms that bring these poor young once bright able and strong men/ woman to a very DARK and often desperate LIFE… THREATENING PLACE . I suffered as his mom and only caretaker who did care ! Thank you Dr Olafson for your commitment and caring to help make sense of and therefore get future assistance to my son he will need for his hopefully long lifetime . Pleased and HOPEFUL finally (1999-presently ) PROPER diagnosis for TBI and those who are born into the specific susceptibility of certain predisposition GENETICS inherited diseases etc to this neglected misdiagnosed young adult population with complicated personality life changes I DO BELIEVE THESE CERTIFIED TESTS DO HELP ESPECIALLY WITH SAD BIASED MISDIAGNOSIS THAT DEFINITELY LEADS ONLY TO DEATH OF INNOCENT YOUTH ! Once strong highly respected individuals become so filled with self hatred and confusion it takes the life away from all them and helpless families. Thanks

Dr. Olafsson’s office lacks integrity & capability. They are incapable of giving a proper quote of cost for service and lack the integrity to make things right for patients. I was told a particular service would cost $25.00 copay. After paying $25, I later received a bill for $334.00 additional. The office manager than blamed Cigna, saying that her office did nothing wrong/misleading and that they had no intention of bearing any responsibility. Regardless of quality of service, this is ludicrous & demonstrates how little the office cares for any relationship with its patients beyond the purely transactional.

He accomplished a task NO OTHER DR COULD ACCOMPLISH !
