Dr. Katariya operated on my husband after a major heart attack left him struggling on life support at Tucson Medical Center. Almost everyone had given up on him. Dr. Katariya did a quadruple bypass and replaced a heart valve on him and he eventually came home after 2 weeks after surgery. He is doing really well now. Dr. Katariya was very patient, considerate and very professional throughout our time at the hospital. He took the time to explain every detail to us. His team is very professional as well. After discharge Dr. Katariya has seen him in his office and cleared him to go on vacation, something I never thought would happen ever again!!! Thank you for saving his life Dr. Katariya.

Dr. Katariya performed coronary artery bypass grafting and an aortic valve replacement on me. I was referred to him by my cardiologist and he turned out to be a Godsend. My surgery was at Tucson medical center and Dr. Katariya's entire team that took care of me in the ICU and then in regular room were awesome. I was discharged home in 5 days. Dr. Katariya stopped by to see me twice a day and spent a considerable amount of time with me answering my questions.I was very impressed by his bed side manner and patience.

He is very thorough and spent an enormous amount of time with me explaining my condition, the surgery and what to expect afterwards. Dr. Katariya was very professional, courteous and thorough. In the visit before surgery he took all the time to explain the various facets of surgery to me and then after the surgery he visited everyday, sometimes 2-3 times in the hospital. I underwent a mitral valve repair through a mini incision in my right armpit and have been very pleased with the improvement in my symptoms.

I was at the hospital, Tucson Medical Center, for 6 days after surgery. Everything went off very well. The nurses and staff were very caring. Dr. Katariya was there to see me everyday, sometimes twice a day. He saw me 10 days after my discharge from the hospital in his office and was very patient once again in answering my wife's and my questions. Full marks to him. Very good surgeon. Thorough gentleman, very patient, explained everything in detail, did not push for surgery, did not overcharge, very professional. Surgery went off without a hitch. Back home in 6 days. As good an experience as life threatening surgery could be.

Dr. Katariya spent mucho time with my husband and me discussing all options for treatment of lung cancer in my right lung. My diagnosis was only 4 days before and I was very scared. He made me visit Dr. Gonzalez and we started chemotherapy after which he did surgery to take out half my right lung. Now I am back home and very happy to be with my family.
