Dr. Lana Mae Benedek, MD

I took a six-week yoga for stress and anxiety class with Dr. Benedek. She is kind, supportive and taught useful techniques to address daily stress and anxiety. She was available for questions and support outside of class too. I highly recommend her!

I attended a six-week session taught by Dr Lana Benedek on yoga and breathing techniques for stress and anxiety. Dr Benedek clearly brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about mental heath issues to her teaching and I found the class to be an extremely helpful, positive, and uplifting experience. As well as practicing poses and breath work to soothe our minds and balance our bodies, we were invited to share how we were feeling and the issues that were troubling us in an incredibly healing and supportive environment. Throughout the session, Dr Benedek’s holistic approach to mental health was in evidence. She clearly draws on both her medical background and yoga training to provide compassionate and effective techniques for calming the mind and body.

I was in a very dark mindset when I first started seeing her and she helped me through that troubled time by displaying a level of investment and compassion not seen by normal psychiatrists who just want to think of their profession as a job.
