Dr. Larry J Sanders, MD

Dr. Sanders did a great job on both of my knees... and he told me just how long the work he did would last, until I would need a knee replacement on either knee... he was exactly right ! I now need the Left knee replaced, as I can barely walk. I wish he were still able to do this work for me... he's great and always made me laugh... no matter how much pain I was in. Unfortunately, Dr. Sanders had to retire last year. He sold his practice to Dr. Matanky who so far, has been a poor replacement. Dr Sanders did a hip revision for me and impressed me with his very professional attitude towards patient care. I selfishly wish he was still practicing as I now need a total knee.

He is the"Best". Had 2 hip replacements by Dr. Sanders, but think now he is retired. God bless you Dr. Sanders.

Dr. Sanders has been my surgeon for 25+ years. He is the most skilled surgeon I have ever known. Having my first knee replacement at 33 went perfect. As did the second replacement and several shoulder surgeries. 25 years later I walk and move better than I did when I was younger. He is straight-up and tells it like it is. I don't need coddling - I need a great surgeon. He always answers all my questions before I even know what to ask. Every time I saw him I'd tell him he's not allowed to retire but just found out that he retired in September 2017. I still had to write this review because he was amazing and I doubt I'll find another orthopedic surgeon in AZ of his caliber.

This is the kind of doctor that I am used too. But I am old fashioned and I like a doctor to be up front about what they say and have a way of explaining everything. Answers all your questions too.

Had dr. Sanders treat my shoulder pain ...This Dr is direct and to the point, which I like. My shoulder was taken care by injection and PT.

Got in for appointment pretty quickly after referral was made. Office staff was friendly and courteous. Called with concerns, no callback. Called again this week, Dr. returned my call and was incredibly rude. He was not concerned in the least about my questions. Pretty much cut me off from the beginning. I had valid concerns that I needed addressed, but he didn't seem interested. I would never talk to a patient or anyone the way he talked to me. I felt very low after I got off the phone. I will not be returning to Dr. Sanders and I will not recommend him to anyone else. I will let my PCP know about my experience.

Good doc. Not knife happy.
