Dr. Lawrence Chaoping Wang, MD

Dr. Wang is truly among the most caring physicians we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Thoughtful, perceptive, thorough and astute clinical ethic, he takes time to answer questions and considers all concerns. We have never felt rushed. Personable and caring, he even takes time to make phone calls himself. We are grateful to Dr. Wang for his help with our son's challenges.

Longer wait times, but he spends just as much time with your own child and he never rushes through a visit. I adore this doctor. He diagnosed my son with a seizure disorder that presented with somewhat unusual symptoms, and prescribed medications that got it under control very quickly. So much better than the doctors we had previously seen in Denver. Highly recommend!

The neurologist at Children's Hospital spent only about 10 minutes with my child and downplayed her major head injury at our first appointment. Looking for another Dr., Dr. Wang was highly recommended to me. Dr. Wang took the time and spent about an hour diagnosing my child and found neurological issues that the Children's Hospital doctor didn't take the time for. This doctor is absolutely amazing and is very knowledgeable. He has even called in the evening hours to check up on my child. I highly recommend this doctor!

I had taken my daughter in to see Dr. Wang, Everything went smoothly with the Doctor, but when I became ill myself and had no way to take my daughter to her appointment, I had called in to cancel the appointment. A month later the office staff sent me a bill for $80 saying that I never called and cancelled the appointment. Are you people really that lazy? All you have to do is enter the information into the computer. You could have done it while you were talking to your friends on facebook. I saw you on it when I was there. You get paid to be there. e glad you have a job, and do your job. The doctor may not catch so much flack if the office staff would hold up their end.

I went to this appointment with 4 children, expecting a long appointment. I didn't expect to wait in the waiting room for an hour, then in the room for another 30 minutes. The appointment itself was only 20-30 minutes and did not end up being worth the wait. He gave me a list of follow up tests he needed to do, and told me to schedule them with the front desk. In the end, our regular pediatrician scheduled the MRI for us because his office staff are completely inept. We were never able to schedule the sleep study or EEG that he wanted. We called the office and left messages repeatedly trying to get him to call us back, and got nothing. Because of all the run around we had with him, my son's diagnosis of seizures was delayed by a year. I hate to think that my son unnecessarily dealt with dozens of absence seizures every day because Dr. Wang didn't follow through. GO TO DENVER TO FIND A GOOD NEUROLOGIST! ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN AND DENVER CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL BOTH… HAVE GREAT NEUROLOGISTS! It is definitely worth the drive.Dr. Wang needs to take some responsibility for having a terrible front office staff. This can't all be blamed on them...

Dr. Wang is an excellent Pediatric Neurologist. He is very kind and takes a long time seeing his patients. His staff is professional and nice.

It was very hard to get an appointment. Once we did get an appointment, Dr Wang was too busy to be bothered with seeing my Daughter much less reading the EEG report accurately (the staff said the Dr Wang was trying to go on vacation and was rushed). We had to goto Denver to Children's hospital to get an accurate reading and a Doctor to spend time to explain the results. The billing department will not properly code the insurance claim so our insurance will not pay for the EEG. It seems like a poorly run office, billing and a poor Doctor. I would not recommend this doctor or this office to my worst enemy. It is far better to travel the 80 miles to Denver to get a great Doctor.

Dr. Wang is a great neurologist. Not always easy to get into see him and he always seems to be running behind at least 30 minutes or more (I've waited up to an hour past my appointment time). Dr. Wang takes the time with each patient to really understand what is going on with them. (This is perhaps why he runs so late with appointments). I would recommend him to a friend with the warning that his office does not run smoothly.

Dr. Wang has been treating our child for 2 years. He is very attentive and perceptive. He takes his time, he or his nurse calls our home, and he explains things well. He never lets anything slip through the cracks - he is on top of it all. He cares about his patients. We are lucky to have him!

I am a highly specialized and experienced Pediatric Nurse. My son is a patient of Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang is by far the best Neurologist my son has had the privilege of seeing. Dr. Wang is brilliant, yet very kind. My son has a very complex diagnosis. Dr. Wang is the first Pediatric Neurologist that has been able to provide what I feel is an accurate diagnosis and plan of care. Dr. Wang is one of the only Pediatric Neurologists in town. A new appointment with him will require some patience and maturity on the part of parents; but he is well worth the wait!
