Dr. Lawrence David Wolin, MD

Went to Dr Wolin for an ulcerated cornea, which he placed a very tight eye patch on and sent me home. I was in so much pain the second day I called him and he told me to “grow up, you’re a baby”. Very insensitive and abrupt personality. Never returned to his practice.

Rude. There are plenty good eye doctors in the area.

Dr Wolin and the people that work with him are fantastic and very friendly. Especially at Halloween when they have their pumpkin contest. The office is also decorated for Halloween. I’ve been going to this office for many years from glasses up to cataract surgery. Fantastic My eyesight is absolutely perfect and I am now 76 years old. What else can I say but 5 stars +.

Dr Wolin has the no bedside manner I would strongly suggest anyone consider another Dr

I'm willing to tolerate a lack of social skills for medical specialists. Those who have the intellect for this type of work don't always have good people skills. However, in my opinion Dr. Wolin has personality issues. I have never been treated so poorly by a medical professional! I had two experiences with him a few years apart. The first time I didn't appreciate how he spoke to me during a procedure, but I let it go. Recently I needed cataract surgery. Only because my optometrist recommended a consultation with Dr. Wolin did I go back to him. My experience discussing options with him was bizarre and upsetting. I was asking questions trying to understand what he was saying, but I couldn't get a straight answer. When I asked how much the surgery would cost. He kept saying that it didn't matter. I kept pushing for an answer and finally one of the staff offered a partial answer. The next day I made an appointment with another eye doctor in the same neighborhood. She was… pleasant and there was no pushback when I asked about costs. She did both of my cataract surgeries and I'm happy with the results!

Years ago dr wolin fixed my mother’s Cararacts. Until the day she passed she still had perfect eyesight. Now he has taken good care of me also. It’s been wonderful, I can see far and I can also see near to read. It’s a new world out there now.

I was referred by another doctor’s office. Nice office, very professional and a thorough exam. But the main doctor is rude, quick to snap, did not seem to believe my issues, and made me cry. This has never happened in my entire life.

Very Professional - I felt as each person I dealt with was courteous and experienced – explaining what they are doing and (it seems) they have top notch equipment as well. When Dr. Wolin arrived he reviewed everything asked questions and took his time-

Although we had a successful outcome with cataract surgery it was an arduous ordeal. He has you start preping your eye a month out from you surgery. I’ve asked my husbands eye doctor and a friend of mine why and they can’t imagine why. None of our friends or relatives have had to do this. Also, although his practice is in Arlington Heights he does the surgery downtown. We would not have used him if we knew. They’re are plenty of qualified surgeons in our area.

I have never experienced a doctor being so rude and mean to a patient. I would never recommend him to anyone. NEVER!!!!!!!
