Dr. Lesa Jean Bethel Mulligan, MD

First time I went to her I was 17, scared and wore my heart on my sleeve. She definitely intimated me. But here I am, 3rd time around and still going to her. Some people and reviews say that she is rude BUT she is very matter of fact. She answers your questions very directly. She is a dr with a lot of patients so the wait time is there but overall I wouldnt go to anyone else. I love that she gets me in and out of the office promptly as I do not want to spend all day in a dr office. When it comes to the actual delivery she is the bomb.com. I think shes very misunderstood and if you can get past the first couple of visits to see how she truly is, then more would recognize her as the awesome obgyn she is.

She's beyond amazing I will not use anyone else for my female appointments . I absolutely love her and she's a real sweetheart

Horrible experience. She has a way of making you uncomfortable. The whole 4 min she spent with us we felt as if she was doing us a favor. She was not even interested in finding out what brought us to her hospital. She is a doctor but she had the attitude of a "well prove you are sick to me" judge. Please don't go to this doctor if you value your time and money.

She was great with my first child but not with my second. I never seen her smile, ever. She interrupted me when talking and made me feel stupid for asking questions. Her office is over crowded and small. Wait time was very long.

The staff here was nice and welcoming, but Dr. Mulligan was not. It was easy to make an appointment, but I think they generally overbooked because there was always at least a 20 minute wait. My experience with Dr. Mulligan, who I went to for my first pregnancy, was nothing short of awful. As one example, when I presented her with our birth plan, to openly discuss and receive any helpful suggestions on, she rolled her eyes and told us that having a birth plan was almost a guarantee of having a c-section (in her experience). Also, both of the times she checked to see if I was dilated or effaced, I was not, and she acted as though it was not good at all. That combined with how big my baby was measuring, she had me so scared that a c-section was inevitable. She also openly disliked that I did not want to be induced. In the end, I went a week and a half past my due date before I naturally went into labor and delivered my daughter vaginally. I was just thankful that Dr. Mulligan was out of… town and did not deliver her. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

My wait time was a little long but she had delivered a baby just before my appointment. She always seems willing to answers my questions and makes sure I understand my options.

I am in my 50's so I only use them for my yearly check up. I do not like the doctor, but the nurse practitioner is great! She answers any questions I have, asks questions, will explain about any possible situations, tells me exactly what she is doing, is gentle, considerate of your dignity, etc. None of this applies to the doctor.

She answered all of our questions and explained our options well. I would highly recommend her. And her incisions look great.
