Dr. Lionel Marshall Nelson, MD

Office staff's are not very friendly, even somewhat rude.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Nelson and I valued 2 former office staffs . They were very efficient and responsive. BUT since he joined to El Camino network and apparently his office was managed by a corporate system, office staff seemed to have been provided by the corporate office. Anyway, the current 2 office staff are NOT GOOD AT ALL!! They are rude and inefficient, and don't respond my voice mail over 2 weeks. I had to call 3 times to make an appointment. The current office staff, particularly the one who makes appointments claimed that she didn't hear my messages!! The same situation happened twice, and I was extremely frustrated, AND am even thinking of seeking for another ENT doctor. The doctor is fine, but I DON’T WANT to deal with the current office staffs. That is the reason I gave 3 stars, and otherwise I would give 4.5 stars.

Dr Nelson is that rarest of gems in the medical profession. Not only is his bedside manner very warm and sincere, but his technical competence inspires total confidence. I especially like the way he explains medical issues without talking down to you.
