This is my second time as a patient of Dr. Lowell Payne. He did my shoulder replacement surgery and I was very, very happy with the results. I have never felt rushed in his presence and that is something that is important to me. He listens to me and then tells me exactly what is going to be done to correct my problem (broken clavicle this time around). I have already recommended several people to Dr. Payne which is a testament to how I feel about my treatment while in his care.

I saw Dr Payne several times when I lived in Williamsburg but now reside in Florida. Suffered knee problems the day before my trip back to Virginia for a visit and was able to get a next day appointment with him. FABULOUS! Diagnosis, treatment and prognosis were all spot on. He estimated I would be off crutches the next morning and here I am walking without the as he said…albeit stiffly, also how he projected. I cannot recommend him more highly.

I so appreciate Dr. Payne’s very personable, kind, and thorough discussion of my conditions. I have had two shoulder replacement surgeries and one knee replacement. Dr. Payne explained each surgery with great detail to include actual models of the joint being replaced. He takes time to answer my questions and listens to any concerns that I might have. I would highly recommend Dr. Payne to anyone. All surgeries have been a complete success.
