I must admit this review is coming from care Dr. Lanza gave my mother 20 years ago. She was DX with Lung Cancer. The Pulmonologist who officially gave her the bad news was very worried about the location of the tumor in relation to a main artery. He did refer the name of Dr. Lanza but my mom insisted on getting multiple opinions. She saw a 2nd Pulmonary specialist who also said Dr. Lanza was the best for this type of surgery. I was at the appointment and I even asked the doctor if his mother had lung cancer would he refer her to Dr. Lanza? His Quick and very precise reply "absolutely!". Both of these doctors were and are highly respected in there field. I was at every appointment and was able to meet Dr. Lanza along with his team at the time PA Perry and PA Michelle. Everyone was amazing, perfect bedside manner, answered every question and supplied very detailed expectations. Dr. Lanza with his talented team and the support of Mayo my mother was able to be surgically cured… from lung cancer. Which to this day we are both thankful and grateful for all there care. I am happy to say my mother has been cancer free for 20 years and that is the best gift any son could ever get. Dr. Lanza deals with very difficult cases and I know if you are under his care you are getting the best chance of success. Thank you Dr. Lanza and Mayo Clinic.

First of all I totally disagree with the "lies lies lies" review. Nothing could be further from the truth. I believe that Dr. Lanza is totally knowledgeable in his field. My experience with him is in the lung cancer area and I honestly believe he saved my life on one occasion and was instrumental in not allowing a surgical procedure to take place that would have greatly endangered my quality of life if not my life. He has been listed as one of the top cancer surgeons in America for several years by Castle and Connolly. He stepped in on one occasion and took over my treatment when I think my life would have been changed drastically for the worse if he had not noticed I was in his hospital. (How he knew, I do not know) I will always be indebted to him for his care, knowledge and helpfulness.
