Dr. Lucy H Young

Dr. Young is very professional and knowledgeable. She took her time to surch and compare previous results. Explained well her findings and recommendations. Was pleasant and patient.

dr. Young was the most ill mannered doctor I have ever encountered . she spoke to me in offensive terms , with a raised voice . I guess she got up on the wrong side of the bed that morning .

Dr. Young was exceptional in her care of my late mother. She diagnosed her correctly, she had tremendous bedside manner, never rushing or pushing her off on junior staff and motivated her at times.

Dr. Young has been my fatherâ??s ophthalmologist for the past eleven years, treating him for AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration (wet type)) since he was 79 years old. Itâ??s thanks to her considerable skill, encyclopedic knowledge, and deep compassion that, at 90 years old, he can still see. Because of AMD, he was classified as legally blind so he had to give up his driverâ??s license and some of the freedom that goes along with that, but if it werenâ??t for Dr. Young he would be housebound, in permanent darkness, instead of taking the bus to do his own grocery shopping; or having the guys over for weekly card games, or still volunteering at the weekly church Bingo. Itâ??s because of Dr. Young that my dad has an active and full life and, through her outstanding care, has been able to maintain partial eyesight. Dr. Young, along with her staff, are friendly, professional, and courteous and are always happy to make scheduling accommodations whenever necessary. We never feel rushed… and our questions and concerns are always addressed completely. Dr. Young has earned our respect, trust, and gratitude. I give her the highest marks and recommend her without reservation.

I've gone to her for years, to monitor for any possible HlV-related eye infections. Now she's following me for age-related retina issues. She's extremely knowledgeable, very caring, and always concerned with the whole patient. Don't be put off by the crowded waiting room: it's crowded because she's that good - and her team will get you through the process very quickly.

Dr. Lucy Young has been my ophthalmologist for 20 years. Without her perseverance and dedication, I would not have the vision I have now. She inspires me to do better.

Dr. Young (Lucy) saw me at a very dark time, I had lost my vision in my left eye due to a retinal detachment that removed the macular. She took me under her wing and expertly performed emergency surgery which not only returned part of my vision, she was there to comfort and ease my mind throughout my entire recovery process. I have had 2 additional detachments since that time and she never skips a beat. I feel personally close to her because she has the ability to look at the â??wholeâ?? me, not just my eyes. There is no one I trust more with my eye disease/care than Dr. Lucy Young.
