Decatur is very fortunate to have Dr. Buckner and his staff. It is a rarity to have a doctor who really cares for you in the manner Dr. Buckner and Christy (his nurse) cares for you. I had a simple hernia repair performed. Dr. Buckner was not only interested in the hernia but he wanted to know about other problems I was facing. We shared with each other and you could tell he was interested in my well-being and wanted the best outcome for me. Dr. Buckner, Christy and the entire staff were all I could have hoped for in a surgeon. He has been my surgeon of choice for several years and has always provided the absolute best care.

He and Christy, his nurse are the best. He truly cares about his patients.

I highly recommend Dr Buckner!!! He has an excellent bedside manner! He is a very good surgeon and is knowledgable in his field!

He did a fabulous job on my lumpectomy and did 2 biopsies that were accurate. I wish he did other surgeries because I trust him completely. He told me if I needed a surgery done that he doesn't do, he'd let me know who he'd use. He actually cares about his patients.

I was very nervous about my visit, but Dr. Buckner put me completely at ease. He reviewed all of my previous labs and imaging and did further testing. He was extremely thorough and took the time to explain everything . A very knowledgeable and compassionate Doctor with a great bedside manner. His nurse was terrific as well. I did not require surgery, but I would not hesitate to see him again if I ever did.
