Dr. Mahlon Richard Vandelden, MD

In spring of 2017 having great difficulty breathing, thought to be allergies called Missouri Ear Nose & Throat for an appointment, Dr Mahlon Van Deldren, had an opening so accepted the appointment, was suffering. The doctor read the test results and prescribed the medical course of actions to treat the allergies. Two shots per week, each week paying a medical professional to inject the serum. In late spring early summer, had a reactions about 20 minutes after the shots, in order to get some relief required an appointment with the doctor only to find out there was no visible reaction but the vile originally thought to be the cause of the reaction was kept at the doctor’s office and never credited to my account, said it was an old mold serum changed by the manufacturer, then charged me for a new vile. When ask if any further treatment could be done if another reaction occurred, Dr Van Deldren said “no”. Late summer 2018, tongue began tingling after a round of shots one week and… then again the next week, stopped taking the allergy serum before an EpiPen would be necessary. Spring 2019, started out again like other springs determining there had to be something better than hiding in the house for unable to breathe outside. I sought out a different allergist again relaying all of the information regarding what the previous diagnosis had been from Dr Van Deldren along with treatment regimen testing performed like that received at Missouri Ear Nose & Throat Center, the results were completely different. Receiving a correct treatment I can breathe, skin is clear, nose does not stop up can go outside when the grass is being mowed, blooming trees do not bother me like when receiving he shots. Diagnosis in lay terms over sensitive smell, utilization of prescribed nasal spray twice per day. Further diagnosis being provided medication unnecessary for my body did not require what was being given for those allergies did not exist. Full disclosure ask doctor to call and discuss, he refuses.

I was a patient of Dr. Van Delden when he was in Evansville In. I have not been able to find another ENT that treats chronic sinusitis.I am currently a patient of Dr.Anne McLaughlin at the Deaconess Clinic. She is an allergy and asthma specialist.I would like to see an Ent again,but don't where to look close to home. If Dr. Van Delden could recommend someone,I would be very grateful.
