Dr Pugnale saved my daughter’s life. Her quick action and her ordering MRI was essential. I will be forever grateful to her.

Dr. Pugnale performed a total thyroidectomy because my goiter was "huge" and growing. She explained everything clearly and without technical jargon. She took care to avoid any damage to the vocal cords. In fact, my stutter (which had been caused by pressure from the thyroid) is almost totally gone. My face, which had been puffy and flabby, looks much better thanks to removing a large mass from my neck. Dr. Pugnale made me feel that she really cared about me. I'm a 68-year old man, but I would recommend Dr. Pugnale enthusiastically to anyone who needs a great ENT doctor.

I’ve never posted a review regarding healthcare providers before but feel the need to report my experience with the Suburban Earn Nose + Throat group. First of all, I was surprised that I only had to wait days instead of weeks to see one of their specialists. I was also able to complete all of my New Patient paperwork online, which was a lot more convenient than waiting to fill it out in the office. Best of all, Dr. Marci Pugnale’s extensive experience, technical expertise and gentle “bedside manner” were a perfect match for me since I tend to be a first-class worrier. She will definitely be my go-to doctor for any ENT issues in the future!

I recently saw Dr. Pugnale for the first time and was so impressed with her that I had to share my experience. I was familiar with the overall practice 'Suburban Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, Ltd' (top notch in the Chicagoland area) but had never seen Dr. Pugnale. I had a weird nose issue and was very concerned about what it was, treatment, etc. Dr. Pugnale connected with me as a patient within seconds of entering the exam room. After my exam, I had no doubt that she is an extremely knowledgeable and competent doctor. But in addition to her obvious competence, Dr. Pugnale took the time to listen to all of my concerns, answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them!), and helped ease my concerns. The day after my visit, I had a question regarding my medication and left a message with the reception staff. My expectation was that they would ask the doctor and get back to me with an answer. Instead, Dr. Pugnale called me back personally, explained everything to me (again) and… once again really listened to my concerns to help me tailor my treatment plan specifically to my needs. Good doctors are out there if you search for them. But outstanding doctors who also have great listening skills, and really take the time to hear their patients individual concerns and address them, are much harder to find. Dr. Pugnale is one of the best doctors I have ever seen, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Chicagoland area who needs help for ANY ear, nose, throat related issue. My experiences with Dr. Pugnale were nothing but exceptional. She's a great doctor. I'm all fixed up, so I don't need to return. But that's what I was hoping for.
