I cant begin to say how satisfied I was.. The staff,the nurses,the nurse practioners were all amazing.They are extremely thorough. I never had a np exam like this in my life.I had work that morning and the timing was also excellent..I will be going here always..

I met her twice she is so kind and nice she listen you and guide you through all you ask her I got all my answers and help I needed i would really recommend her if you are visiting garden city obgyn

When I first met Dr. Maria Culatta I actually liked her. She seemed nice, so when my husband and I decided we were ready to start a family I scheduled an appointment with her for that conversation. I clearly remember asking her, between all the many questions I had, if there was any genetic test I should take before trying to conceive, since there were multiple cases of autism in my family. She said in a very tranquil manner "nope, but if in a year from now you're still not pregnant, come back and we'll run some tests." Stupid me, I didn't question, even though I had heard about a genetic screening some people do when planning a family. About 4 months later and with a positive pharmacy test I went back to see her - of course, always waiting for almost an hour in the examination room. In one of the consultations that followed I received a paper "asking" me if I would like to have a genetic screening done. Wait, what? But she said.... Anyway, I did it. And guess what? I am a carrier of… the fragile-x. But GUESS WHAT?! My baby was fully affected. When being told about the news of being a carrier of this disease she sent me to a random doctor in the practice who broke the news without any empathy or concern. In the heat, rush and despair of the news we opted for terminating that pregnancy. Everything happened very fast because I was already 13 weeks pregnant. About 3 weeks after the procedure I went back to see her to check if everything was ok. I was devastated, hurting, and I went to see her. I waited, no joke, for over an hour in the examination room... like less than before, I felt like I was given no respect, no consideration, no nothing. She got to the room and apologized for the wait, examined me and said her sorry for what happened...Sorry for what exactly? That was my last visit with her because even though I couldn't put name on my feelings, I knew she was part responsible for what happened to me. I ASKED for a test before I got pregnant to which she denied me. When the results came in she didn't even have the respect of at least giving me a call and tell me what the situation was - because SHE was my doctor. My insurance at that time for some reason didn't fully cover the examination that I had during that last consultation with Dr. Maria Culatta, so of course, the office started chasing me to pay that bill and being times RUDE to me when I said I wasn't going to pay and that they could either submit the claim to the insurance again or send me to collections. So they stopped for a little while. Today, THREE YEARS LATER, I received in the mail the same bill. Today, still childless, still baring the pain of the trauma I went through because Dr. Maria Culatta either DIDN'T KNOW about the generic test every other doctor was prescribing to their patients or DIDN'T care about my concerns and about my life. So, today, three years later, she still wants to get paid for the remainder of the bill (that has already been paid 80% by insurance and our copayments) for that last consultation... I don't know about you, but I do believe that a doctor needs to have a minimum of respect, consideration and professionalism with their patients. My grudge is not about the bill, it's about paying a doctor that is responsible for the worst pain of my life - and has 0 concern about it.

Made an appointment with Dr Culotta. Confirmed several times I did not want a PA. The office calls me day before to confirm my appointment & I ask again if my appointment is with the dr or a PA. She tells me with a PA. I tell her again, no, I need the Dr. So we cancel & re-schedule again for the following day. I know emergencies can happen especially since you're dealing with birth, so I call while I'm driving, 15 minutes before I get to their office, that I will be seen by Dr Culotta & am told, yes. I show up & sign in - no one says anything to me. Another woman comes in & I hear her say she's there for Dr. Culotta & they tell her the Dr is out & they only have a PA. The woman, understandably, flips, saying she only wanted to see the Dr, & why did no one call her? Reception has no answer for her. Woman leaves. I come up to desk after her & say I called 15 minutes ago & was told the Dr was here. Reception again has no answer, just offers me a PA or 2 NPs. I took off work,… drove in over an hour traffic to get there, even called 15 minutes before to confirm everything & no one even had the decency to tell me the truth. Low down, dirty move to trick people into coming into your office to not see the provider they want so you can bill their insurance since they're already there. Very shady, untrustworthy, incompetent medical office. Never recommending, never coming back & if you care about your health or the health of your unborn DO NOT COME HERE!!!!
