Dr. Marina G Shtern, MD

Whoever runs the doctors front desk is terrible. She’s rude and not professional. She insisted that she deliver my lab results over the phone and had the nerve to question one of the diagnosis!! Apparently she’s been there for a long time. Dr. Shtern was lovely but the office overall looks like it’s out of a third world country.

I just had the worst experience here. It was my first time coming to the office. First of all they brought me in to ask me about my medical history and in the middle of it brought another patient into the room. This was a super confidential moment and I was so uncomfortable and shocked. I should have known and left right then. Next they brought me into a room and asked me to change for my pap. I sat there undressed in a freezing room... no one ever came. 30 min went by while I waited. I ended up just leaving. Don’t bother with this place.

Staff is incompetent to the point where I have to switch doctors although I love her. I just can't deal with that office staff. They literally don't answer the phones- for patients or for other medical offices trying to call them to sort out their mistakes. Their message says the office hours are 9-5 but you can continue calling until well after 10 before they will pick up. They mishandle billing issues, referrals, everything. In fact, if there's a way to make mistakes, they will find them.Wait times are always incredible. Too bad because she's amazing. I gave her as many stars as I did because I like her so much but the staff is a nightmare. It's not that they're unfriendly,; they're just hopeless.

Excellent doctor, was very happy with her during my pregnancy and labor and delivery.. Great bedside manner and knows what she she is doing.. Will recommend to friends and family

Very bad experience with Her as she recommended that I perform a surgery that was unnecessary and promised me that I would be treated however after the surgery I still had the same complaint except that I had a $500 bill because the anesthesia doctor did not except my insurance. Furthermore, she had to be reminded by her staff to prescribe be antibiotic after my procedure. After my procedure was completed she dismissed on my post surgery appointment by saying " I can't do anything else but here's a referral' months later I still have the same complaints!! Again very bad experience with her

If you dont speak her language she will not talk to you or give you the same time she does to those patients that are russian speakers.... She just will not explain the things that you are trying to understand..... This is extremely frustrating...

I wanted to speak to the Dr. during my last office visit to formally file a complaint against her nurse or office manager Laura. Iâ??ve been going to her office for a few years now and Dr. Marina has been an amazing and caring physician. Until recently Laura was competent and somewhat friendly. I have never been so judged and mistreated at my doctorâ??s office. The last time I visited, she was very disorganized, rude, short tempered and overall nasty to deal with. She took blood and when I received the call for the follow up; she was very scattered. She scheduled me for a 2:30pm appointment and each time during that conversation, kept forgetting what she was doing. In fact she kept me on hold then would hang up. When I finally spoke to her, she very poorly conducted the call, set an appointment or 2:30pm but a few days later called to remind me of my 1:45pm appointment. Had I not called the office the morning of the appointment I would not have known the true time… was. Once at the office, she was disrespectful in fact became very annoyed when I couldnâ??t give her the answers she wanted as quickly as she wanted. She didnâ??t tell me I needed to fast for the bloodwork she got very annoyed and told me that it was impossible she wouldnâ??t have said anything. When asked or rather reminded her of my prescription for refills of my birth control pills, she became very short and annoyed. I felt mistreated, judged and violated as I definitely didnâ??t want her in the room when I was examined. Even for the prep work, she was rude, short and scattered as if I was beneath her. I will be switching doctors unfortunately because I definitely do not appreciate that kind of treatment. I wanted to speak to the doctor in person but the nasty nurse didnâ??t allow it. I would hate to think this is how she treats the women that come to you for guidance, advise or proper care. I don't know if it was a race thing or she's just a nasty human being. Such a shame because Dr. Schtern is perhaps the only doctor I trust.

I had the WORST experience in my life at this doctors office. The nurse was rude, she didnt attempt to call my insurance for weeks, until i called them. I felt judged for my procedure(abortion), which was very emotional for me. The nurse, made this the most horrible and emotional time. She wasn't helpful and didn't let me see the doctor for 2 visits. When i finally saw the doctor, Marina said she wouldn't do the procedure, after the first visit assuring me she will take care of me. She wasted my time and energy for 3 weeks. I switched to another office, and they treated me with respect, and didnt judge me. I WOULD NEVER GO TO HER OFFICE AGAIN.

Dr Shtern is an great physician and I am happy that she is my doctor.

she is an excellent and very knowledgable professional who dedicates more than enough time to help her patients and explain everything.
