Dr. Mark Allen Gentz, DO

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Gentz. He guided me through a scary experience (fever of unknown origin) and completed a comprehensive work up for my condition. He was very kind and patient. He was attentive to my concerns and provided options for care based on what he thought was best. Excellent experience.

Dr. Gentz was covering for my infectious disease doctor while she was on vacation. He was very rude, talked over me when I tried to address my condition, obviously did not agree that my doctor had made the correct diagnosis and was treating my condition with the correct medications. I have had this condition, which recurs chronically, for 2-1/2 years. Every time my specialist has treated it with the same medications, and I have been well after proper treatment. Dr Gentz disagreed with it all. Yet the medications my specialist uses have cured me. Therefore, I doubt his competency to diagnose and treat patients, and I do not care for his rudeness and not allowing me, the patient, to explain what my specialist has done in the past and not allowing Mr to ask questions.

Three times now my daughter was to see Dr Gentz. The first time she was extremely ill with Sepsis and admitted to St Francis. When Dr Gentz finally came to see her he basically responded oh I don’t treat those diseases and walked away. She has Lyme disease , tularemia, Bartonella and Babesia Duncani. Aren’t you an infectious Diseases doc? The next time he never showed up as she was an inpatient again. Today we were told they withdrew the request for consult as he was getting called in on too many cases. Really? Then get another ID Dr
