Dr. Mark A. Haber, MD

I recently had a prostate biopsy preformed by Dr Haber at the Northside Decatur Urology Surgery Center. I was really troubled by these handful of negative online reviews. My spouse, an RN, began asking her colleagues if anyone knew more about Dr Haber’s reputation. All the inputs from her colleagues were glowing. She also discovered that one of her Med Techs had previously worked for Dr Haber. The had only nice things to say and was shocked to hear that Dr Haber had any negative ratings. My procedure was perfectly smooth. The entire staff was prepared, helpful, professional, and comforting. Dr Haber met with me before the procedure. I did not have many questions, so the meeting was brief. However, Dr Haber’s bedside manner was patient and gentle. I’m sure he would have talked as much as I needed. Finally, I have had very minor discomfort after the biopsy (a couple of Tylenol did the job) which speaks to his gentle and expert skills. I’m very pleased with Dr Haber and his whole… operation. Take these other negative comments with a grain of salt. And remember, that medical providers are at a huge disadvantage in this these social media attacks. They have to protect the privacy of all their patients (including those writing negative reviews). They can’t add a response about how unhealthy, difficult, immature, or non-compliant a complaining patient was.

Dr Haber has no bedside manner and is rude and impersonal. His office staff seems to be trying but, good Lord, this man is angry and rude. Perhaps he was having a bad day but, according to previous reviews, he seems to generally be an unhappy human being focused on dollar signs rather than caring for people. Maybe he should look into another career choice.He was short with me, assuming I understood my diagnosis and treatment and knew exactly what to expect in the days ahead. I was confused coming into my appointment and more confused (& angry) leaving. I'll be changing urologists and finding a new practice thanks to Dr Haber.

Very thorough, took time to explain process and current condition. Previously removed a kidney stone through surgery. Would recommend Dr. Haber to others.

Haber is an angry, unhappy little man who takes his personal problems out on his patients and staff. He places more value in money & getting finished for the day than in human lives. Find a physician who shows actual caring and understanding.

He seems to know his profession.

Dr. Haber came highly recommended and he did not disappoint us. The entire staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. His diagnosis was correct and he was very professional explaining testing required, surgery procedures, prognosis, etc.

I found Dr Haber to be rude and condescending. Office staff was not any better. They scheduled my mother for additional tests and did not provide enough info to the schedulers. When I called their office to get clarification on the tests (days prior to the tests) they never called us back therefore we were unable to proceed.

I'm sure Dr. Haber saved my life. I had polycsytic disease in my right kidney and my left kidney had a rare cancer. He told last week that the margins of the cancer were clear. He explains things to me very well. I do recommend him.

The Dr & staff were timely, efficient & professional. I was only in for a follow up visit and every thing flowed smoothly and courteously and with a smile.
