Dr. Mark Rami Barakat, MD

Very very terrible experience with Dr. Barakat. I Came to him with floaters and wound up 5 surgeries later, double vision, scereal buckle and macular puckering which I will never be able to see anything I focus on out of the eye he worked on. I seriously question his financial motives with his patients especially since he is part owner of spectra eye institute, the company they do there surgeries under. I had to go to another surgeon to get my issues to come to an end.

Dr Okay, some of his staff is arrogant/rude, deceitful and dysfunctional at best!

I wasn’t sure what to except today but it was an exceptional one. The nursing staff and Dr. Barakat were very kind.and knowledgeable. I am very hopeful that I will have the best results possible from this surgery.. thank you!

I am totally doctor-phobic. In the first minute with Dr. Barakat, I relaxed. How can you not with a doctor that sings a few bars as he walks into the examining room? The singing stopped once in the room, and he was thorough, kind and patient. He put me at ease about my eye problem and even if he had said he needed to do a procedure, I would have been calm and confident with him. Thank you, Dr. Barakat! (And by the way, he has a beautiful singing voice!)

I appreciate Dr. Barakat taking the time to explain my diagnosis and the options available for my condition. He is always friendly as well as his staff.
