Excellent Dr and his staff are wonderful. I highly recommend this Dr to anyone. Very detailed and concerned about any issues you have medically. Great personality, Dr Shen always makes you laugh!

Very professional, with a very nice nurse to assist in anything you need. He's my doctor, but also my friend.

Huge Ego, immediately says the OPPOSITE without digesting what you presented during visit even when other doctor's diagnosed. He always wants to be right. Doesn't listen at all and refuses to allow appt to be for anything other than what's scheduled. If you happen to be ill when you see him after booked medication management appt after waiting 4-5 weeks to get in he says "you're appt is ONLY for med management. You HAVE to book a separate appt to see me for illness." As in a cold or flu situation. Then you're forced to go to Hospital or Urgent Care after leaving your appt. Insanity!!! Very poor attitude and has no empathy for your current situation. Infuriating that he would purposely argue about other Specialists diagnoses when it's their field of medicine. Poor Bedside manner. Refuses to run necessary tests for proper treatment and diagnoses. He prefers to do nothing more than monthly medication management. Even his contemporaries/colleagues are frustrated at his lack of discernment,… always wanting other doctor's to do his job. He tells you to go to one doctor for assessment but won't allow their treatment as he must be in control. Then says you must contact that particular doctor, relay problem to them, then they must write another recommendation to him. They flat out tell you to go see another doctor because he does nothing but wasye a patients time, hold up treatment and cause unnecessary work for assessing doctor's, when he should've flat out referred and deferred to them instead of being in control. His colleagues actually tell his patients that his treatment is unsatisfactory after causing such a circle of time consuming grief for all parties when it can be so easy and especially when treatment of ANY kind is in immediate need. He needs a baby sitter to do anything, holding his hand every step of the way via other doctor's and yet he still refuses their recommendations and all the Physicians he refers a patient to, say "I'm just forwarning you that this IS my recommendation but Dr Shen rarely follows, he does what he wants so I don't understand why he wastes everyone's time by sending his patients to me unless he gives up control and allows me to treat as I wish. He prefers to refer, get my recommendation, and still refuses to submit." Nearly every doctor/specialist says the same thing about him. I was quite shocked that so many doctor's are so candid about him but they seem highly irritated by him and realize it's not only time consuming for doctor, them, and patient, me, but also that it's a great distance for a patient to travel and costly and still no results. He reminds me of a kid who was bullied and is getting back at everyone since he's in a place of power. Don't waste your time or it might cost you time, money, and your life if you're quite ill. Enough said.

Excellent doctor and staff. Easy to get an appointment, exceptable waiting time. Excellent communication. Accurate diagnosis, exceptional follow up.

Knows it all, doesn't listen and gave false information.
