Dr. Mark J Steinberg

The staff really is rude.. I just had my experience today.. they are rude and disrespectful.. not professional at all..

I am so happy and thankful to Dr. Steinberg. I was referred to him from another oral surgeon and I am very glad I came. The results of my surgery were fantastic. I am finally pain-free!

I have not yet had my surgery, but I am been very frustrated with Dr. Steinberg's office in the meantime that I feel a review is necessary. Dr. Steinberg is great and clearly very well informed in his practice. While I didn't receive good news at my appointment (that I would indeed need surgery and that it was quite extensive), he relayed all of the information in a clear way and described the surgery in detail. I feel comfortable with him performing this surgery. My problem is with the office staff. They seem completely unorganized and uninformed. It took them two weeks longer than they said to mail a letter to my insurance company. While waiting on this I called multiple times-once I didn't receive any kind of answer, a second time they said they would call back and never did, a third time they told me different information from the previous times...etc. They won't schedule a follow up appointment without any kind of approval from the insurance company even though I informed them I… would have the surgery regardless. Worst case scenario-I'd cancel or reschedule the appointment. They don't seem to understand that this surgery is time sensitive. Dr. Steinberg needs to find a new office manager and staff and then ensure that they all know the same information. They should be more concerned with patients and their treatment. Being told you would need surgery is stressful enough; having to deal with an office that doesn't seem to know what is going on adds to that stress.

The doctor was extremely thorough in diagnosing my problem, explaining the follow-on procedures and taking time to answer my questions.

Very professional office staff. I have had two oral surgeries with Dr. Steinberg. He is very competent and has excellent patient interaction skills. I have needed to come in twice as an emergency appointment, and I was seen within the hour in both cases.

I had a very serious problem. My doctor sent me to someone else who did not know anything. My friend told me about Dr. S. he right away was able to diagnose the problem and treat it. I was lucky to find him.. His staff was very nice and supportive too.

I was told he was the best. I did not beleive it, but everyone was right. he was the only one who could treat my problem
