Dr. Martha Carole Moore, PhD

I met with Dr Moore via telehealth for one year. At the time, I worked graveyard shifts with varying start times so I could only meet with her in the mornings. I met with her every week and missed three appointments over the span of a year, and because of the missed appointments, she threatened to cancel me as a patient because she couldn't afford the missed appointments. First of all, on the paper invoice her assistant sent me, I saw that I WAS billed for the missed appointments. Second of all, 3 missed appointments, albeit inconvenient, out of 52 weeks in a year is not unreasonable in my (and most people's) opinions. However, she spent our last session giving me some ultimatum that I promise to never miss another appointment again or else (I get canceled). I was appalled. Who was this lady? Who was the person I built such a great relationship with? I was floored by how upset and unreasonable she was being. I refused her ultimatum and just told her to cancel me. I sought her out in… June of 2000 because I was being bullied at work and now I was being bullied by my therapist for sleeping too long (the main reason I missed the appointments was because I was exhausted from work and either forgot to set my alarm or I slept through it). So unless you are a perfectly normal morning person with a set and regular schedule, then I do NOT recommend her and I'd give 0 stars if I could because this experience has irreparably damaged my opinion on therapists in general.

I deeply regret choosing Dr. Moore and taking her advice. She may believe she's making good Christianly recommendations. But, in the long run, she put my daughter in a downward spiral that lasted for years. Trust you gut, not her recommendations.

See someone who actually knows what they're doing

I have seen Dr. Moore through many catastrophic events in my life. She talked me through suicidal thoughts, helped me through PPD and PPA and has been here for me whenever I needed advice or tools to get through the next week. I have seen many mental health specialists and Dr. Martha Moore has been the only one to help me. I recommend her to anyone that asks!
