Dr. Marvin Lloyd Erickson

I’ve been dealing with severe cramping and bleeding for years since seeing Dr. Erikson. I asked about possibility of having endometriosis and he denied it and pushed it off for years. Finally had an lapropscopy and turns out I have endometriosis that he kept ignoring. Post-surgery he couldn’t admit for his actions of delaying my pain even though there was a ton of scar tissue to prove I’ve had endometriosis a while. He will belittle your symptoms! Long office waits and rude staff.

I was referred to Dr. Erickson by my bestfriend after she saw him throughout her pregnancy. This being my first pregnancy I was nervous and didn't really know what to expect but I could not be more greatful for her introducing me to Dr. Erickson! He is amazing! He helps you to feel so comfortable and also you can feel that he is as excited throughout your pregnancy as you are which helps you feel so much more cared about. He answers any questions I have and also informs me of so much in advance so I always know what to expect and don't worry when the things start to come up (such as the ligament pains cramping etc.) He is making this such a great experience for my first time and I will definitely be returning to him for my babies to come!!

Horrible customer service!

After waiting for over an hour to see this guy he came in the room, declared I had anxiety and left!what a waste of my time and insurance money.I would advise family and friends..go to another Dr.

I have been seeing Dr Erickson for over 10 years now and absolutely love him. He is very pleasant and professional. The way his office is run is a whole other issue! I scheduled my well-women exam with the Crissy because the really nice girl on the phone said that Dr Erickson was not available until April, which was a month away. I needed to see him sooner ...for other reasons, so I ended up scheduling an apt with the NP. Waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes...then went to the counter and the girl said it was going to be another 45 min before I could go back. So that is now a total of an hour and a half just in the waiting room. Um...NO, I'm sorry but who has that much time to spend in the Dr office??? Not to mention I would have probably waited in the back room for another hour!!! This is totally OUTRAGIOUS to me and totally unprofessional. This has been going on now for years and I've almost had enough of it!!! Why schedule an appointment???? It should really just… be on a FIRST COME...FIRST SERVE basis!

Saw Dr Erickson for over a decade. He ignored curcital issues during my pregnancy which resulted in a horrific life changing experience for myself and especially my child.

My experience with Dr. Erickson was truly disappointing! I would NEVER recommend him to any expectant mother for the following reasons: His moods were unpredictable, sometimes when we had an appointment he was very personable & took the time to answer our questions & other times he was very curt almost seeming annoyed & he did not address our questions/concerns. I came to him as a known "high risk" pregnancy so this was very disconcerting. We needed reassurance & competent answers. At my first office visit I made it clear that I would only deliver at Banner Thunderbird & he said that was not a problem. However, in the following months he tried several times to convince my husband & I to deliver at Arrowhead Hospital, we did not relent. He was out of town for 3 of my appointments even though I was on his personal schedule & he completely missed my delivery! I was delivered by his associate Dr. Hu. Many times the wait-time to be seen was an hour+ even though we were always on time or… 15 minutes early to every appointment. One particular appointment will always stand out in our minds because his nurse Jacky was extremely rude & confrontational. She actually threatening to refuse to have the doctor write me a referral to be seen by my Perinatologist for pre-term labor because she didn't think it was necessary! When I finally saw Dr. Erickson he said he would send me home with a prescription for contractions. Luckily we bypassed both Dr. Erickson & his assistant & went from their office straight to my Perinatologist. I was admitted to the hospital by my Perinatologist that same day for pre-term labor & complications with my cerclage stitch. I remained in the hospital for 3 weeks afterwards on bed rest. My Perinatologist was surprised to find that Dr. Erickson had not even bothered to do a physical exam of me at the visit even though I was having contractions & had delivered my previous baby pre-term at 31 weeks. In fact, Dr. Erickson refused to do a physical exam at the request of myself & my husband stating it was "unnecessary". I was 27 weeks at the time of the visit & fully credit my baby's survival to my outstanding Perinatologist who was quick to take action despite Dr. Erickson & his nurse's incompetence! In the end I did not even go to Dr. Erickson for my follow-up visit after delivery but chose to see his associate Dr. Hu instead. Overall, I would say Dr. Erickson is unpredictable, quick to dismiss "strong" patient concerns, & ultimately had very little to do with the successful outcome of my pregnancy.

Dr Erickson was always there for me and sat and made sure all of my concerns were addressed. Because of a bad delivery in the past he was constantly monitoring me and my baby to make sure she came out when she was ready and healthy. He is a wonderful doctor and I will never go to anybody else.

Dr. Erickson has delivered both of my children and I return each year for my annual exam. He is a terrific doctor who truly cares about what is going on in my life. He remembers details about myself, husband and family years later that I would not expect him to. I feel completely comfortable in telling him anything, as he is a true professional. When I continually hear about abuse and inappropriate actions many doctors display toward their patients, I am so thankful I found Dr. Erickson.

I would never go to this doctor again. I waited an hour and a half in a terrible, cramped waiting room. (Imagine lots of pregnant women and babies.) He spent 2 1/2 minutes with me and then left without saying a word. I thought he must be coming back so I stayed in the room. The nurse came back to clean the room and said they were ready to check me out. Wow. I had a couple of questions but I guess he doesnt have time for those.
