Dr Mary Leong

I've seen 2 different providers at this office and they were both lovely. They cared, called me as soon as they got test results, and throughly explained everything. The negative is the office staff, including the MAs with few exceptions. They lack communication between themselves and the physicians and are extremely disorganized. I've been prescribed a medication that was electronically sent it, and it never reached the pharmacy. I called several times, and the staff called in the wrong prescription and now I am stuck without the medication I need to take on a daily basis which is not healthy and reflects poorly on the office that they would put their own patient in that position. This problem hasn't been resolved since October.

Dr. Mary Leong was very rude, impatient and unprofessional during my yearly exam. She was unnecessarily rough and did not spend anytime to answer a few questions I had. Yeah I get it, you're busy right? But is that any excuse to treat patients the way you do???!!! She is building herself quite the infamous reputation around Long Island. I would never recommend her to anyone! And I would highly suggest anyone looking for a obgyn to look elsewhere.

Mindful and careful before making any diagnose. Required relevant lab tests. Accurate treatment.

I've been a patient of Dr. Leung's for years. She is an outstanding doctor, despite her "cut to the chase" (and sometimes curt) attitude. It's actually what I like most about her. She doesn't sugarcoat things, and I know I can trust her. The problem is with the office staff at The Ann and Jules Gottlieb Women's Comprehensive Health Center. Although there are a small number of staff members that are professional and courteous, there are by far many more that are completely unprofessional, rude, deameaning, and uncommunicative. This is what makes the experience absolutely terrible. The interactions with staff make already stressful situations worse, and I have knots in my stomach anytime I have to deal with any of them. I've had several unique (and not so unique) medical issues to contend with, and I've been treated worse and worse as the years go on. I am done with this office, and unfortunately, Dr. Leung because of the experiences I've had. I hope she switches practices and gets far,… far away from the Ann and Jules Gottlieb Women's Comprehensive Health Center. The service is abysmal. Dr. Leung is sympathetic once you communicate issues related to staff but it does not make up for the repeated offenses. Several specific examples (to give weight to my strong words): nurses referring to the reason why I am in the office in front of a waiting room full of people- calling out the procedure I was scheduled for and requesting a urine sample in front of the people sitting in the waiting room; receiving a voicemail to 'call the office back as soon as possible,' then getting no one on the line for 2 business days after leaving multiple messages referring to the alarming voicemail I received; requesting that a copy of my medical records be sent to another physician's office multiple times over the course of a week; having my surgery rescheduled from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM 2 business days prior to the appointment, and I could go on and on

Took my 17-year old daughter for bloating problems. Did a sonogram in the office and never heard back - assumed all was well. Three months later my GP asked me if I followed up on the cyst that was discovered. I was shocked! Tried to see Dr. Leong for explanation as to why she did not call me, she refused to see me and called my GP to say I was a "nutcase" parent! I have never seen such unprofessional and shocking behavior by a physician. Needless to say, I do not recommend this physician.
