Dr. Matthew Martin Akers, MD

It's been 3 years since Dr. Akers removed the Melanoma from a lymph node in my face. It had traveled from a malignant mole by my eye. I will always have a scar to see in the mirror everyday ,but it could be a lot worse. He went above and beyond to find the path and nodes where the cancer had traveled. I do wish they had an easier cheaper way for reconstruction as I could not afford it. But I do feel like he was the second in the line of doctors who saved my life and for that I will forever be grateful of him.

VERY, VERY BAD! !!!!!!! I had a 30% tca peel. I already have the outcome on here as to my experience. Long story short, my face is a scared up mess and yes i had it done professionally. Today i drove for the second time two hours to see a dermatologist, he confirmed what i already knew. The dr. Who did my peel burned my face. Leaving it a SCARED up mess. I wish i would have never done the peel. I had a very pretty face and i just wish i had it back. I wish i wouldn't have let a couple marks on my face make me decide to have a tca peel. Now, well lets just say i hate people looking at me :( i hate being in public :(

Dr. Akers had saved my life from the moment i went and seen him to know this situation with melanoma on my back he was on top of it, and very aggresive with my surgery. He had also took out ten lymph nodes out from my breast. He is a very good,caring surgeon. I would recommend anyone i knew to go to him for any surgery what so ever.. hes very honest and up front about the situation to look forward to and be caution of for nothing shocking.I like him, and he had did a difference in my life!!!

Dr. Akers was the answer to our prayers. due to an injury, at age 6 our daughter need reconstructive surgery at age 13. she had by the time of surgery developed a very low self esteem and had become very shy. Dr. Akers discussed her condition and options directly with her and made her feel her opinion was important. We were also pleased with the outcome of her surgery and the changed in personality they allowed. She is a different person today thanks to Dr. Akers.

Dr. Akers is amazing!!!! He did a revision surgery of a breast reduction from 10 months earlier that a different doctor totally messed up. I am absolutly thrilled with the results ...his staff along with Dr. Akers treated me with respect and nothing but concern.. Together we came up with a plan that would we both were happy with..i just can't say enough good things about this doctor...

Dr. Akers did liposuction and tummy tuck and breast reduction on me about 2 years ago. I couldn't be more pleased. For the first time in years, I have no muffin top and my breast are actually the same size and not the first thing someone looks at when they look at me. Dr. Akers and his staff are excellent. Any future work I choose to have will definitely be done by him.

Dr. Akers performed a tummy tuck on me and the results were above and beyond my expectations. Office staff was courteous and never made me feel uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Akers!!

wait time averaged anywhere from 15 mins and on one occasion 2 hrs in the patient seating area, but yet longer once taken back to treatment room. I still have complications from a cosmetic procedure which has been down played, disregarded and basically treated as a non issue. I have constant pain, burning, bulging, and swelling since this surgery last year. I was also over charged on at least three occasions when no procedure was performed. these visits were followups as continued after care to the surgery and the problems I was experiencing, however was billed as 'consultation' visit etc. My initial opinion was as satisfied but as time progressed and the issues never resolved I now live with compromised health. of course these comments will be removed from here and only favorable posts will be left for viewing.

gentle, caring, listened and had time for me. has my respect and confidence!answered my questions and told me what to expect.......no surprises - I like that!

Dr. Akers dead my breast augmentation several years ago. He did a great job as they look very natural which was exactly what I asked for. I would definately encourage others to go to him with any plastic or reconstructive surgery needs.
