Dr. Matthew T Kleese, DO

Dr. Kleese is about as defensive, passive aggressive and manipulative as they come. When my previous physician (a superstar) retired, this flake bought the practice and immediately began losing staff until he was the only one left running the show. Never replaced a single staff member, not even the receptionist. Refills weren't being renewed in a timely manner, calls and texts weren't being returned and patients left in droves. Just found out that he was recently dropped by MDVIP, lost his lease and closed the office without any plans to relocate. Did he feel the need to inform his few remaining patients of any of this? No Now my medical records are being held hostage. I have no idea what happened to them or where they're located. He refuses to say except that he's not legally required to hand them over for two months! Only a narcissist would refuse to accept an ounce of responsibility for running his office into oblivion, then have the audacity to see himself as the victim.… Questions have been met with childish accusations of harassment so I'll just let the lawyers take over and harass him for real.

Dr Kleese is not interested in serving patients. When I arrived for my appointment, he had me wait in a hallway with no seating for over 20 minutes. He did not see me at the time of my appointment. He is interested in being paid but not interested in seeing patients.

Dr. Kleese can usually fit me in fairly soon -- not a "we can see you in two weeks" thing. I have had to wait while he runs over with other patients -- but he also takes his time with me! He would make a great small-town GP.

Dr. Kleese is terrific—he spent hours with me today, working on my ear problem. I am grateful to him.

Dr. Kleese failed to research or treat a chronic illness that he was aware some clients in his new practice last year suffered with. He was short tempered , time confined and did not uphold his promise to provide service and medication until I was able to procure another doctot

He is a very good doctor. He listens to your problems and tries to help in compassionate ways. I would recommend him to any new/recurring patient now and in the future.

Went in for severe back pain, Dr. saw me for about 3 minutes, said to go home and take Ibuprofen. Doctor is not aware of immediate pain management, i.e. Soma, Dilaudid , and steroid pack. My visit was a waste of time, also did not know that Medstar employes D.O.'s and not M.D.s
