Dr. Matthew Reed Swelstad

It hasn’t been 3 years, My issues are noticeable, embarrassing and surprised it failed, shouldn’t have. One part my eyelids where done, now they look exactly as they did before surgery. I realize no guarantees, but to keep this quite doesn’t make sense. Last visit for another 12,000 I could look much better. My thoughts are I shouldn’t need another, better surgery. For that it should have been bright up the first time. After all, the purpose was less fill fillers. They don’t last long enough. Those who know I had a Facelift keep asking why won’t anything be done & they won’t see him after my results. He’s extremely nice. It’s difficult to write. I absolutely like his Esthetician without her extreme knowledge I wouldn’t be depressed. She has such talent you want her to do anything for she’s able to, she’s the person to make an appointment with. In fact, I haven’t met anyone unpleasant. It’s become a real issue each I’ve tried to explain “ my Facelift is not even close to notice… anything was done. So be cautious when your told this can last up to years and always be truthful about expectations even when your having more treatments after surgery and if your purchasing more products. I didn’t expect never to add other small procedures, but I’ve been buying more than I should to try and get to where before I had surgery. Be cautious if you believe your Facelift plus other procedures will “ get results you where led to believe “. I’ve did/ still do follow all instructions to help make things or hope to look and see “ it was worth it”

Dr Swelstad was my breast reconstruction surgeon following my right breast nipple-sparing mastectomy from breast cancer. My reconstruction was done in two parts. The first part was performed immediately after the mastectomy. The second part was performed 4 months later. I had no complications and I was very pleased with the results. I was injured in a serious car three-car pile-up less than 4 months later. I was transported to the hospital by ambulance with pain to my right breast/chest. X-rays were taken looking for broken ribs but found none. I called Dr Swelstads office the next day and informed them of the accident and my concerns. They told me I would need to be seen in their office. I was out of town working and now stuck with no car to return home and be seen. I was told that I would need to have an ultrasound or MRI to check for implant rupture. I had an MRI and an ultrasound performed at a hospital in Denver. When I returned home a few weeks later to be seen… by Dr Swelstad I provided him with a paper and digital copy of the MRI and ultrasound results. He did not look at either of them. He then made an incomplete diagnosis of my condition. I asked for an amendment of my medical record at my next appointment. I discovered later after requesting my records that the same visit I requested the change was deleted from my record. When I called his office manager Patrick Howery asking for an appointment to physically inspect my records he yelled at me and threatened not to help me. I was told by Patrick Howery that he would have the person who handles record inspections call me back. Nobody ever called me back until I posted a google review similar to this review. When I was called back by the P.A. Shea she told me she remembered hearing him make that dictation. She added notes to my record trying to explain the missing record and what concerns I expressed to Dr Swelstad at the missing visit. I am now suing the at-fault driver and was told by my lawyer that because of the incomplete diagnosis my case has been weakened. Because of Dr Swelstad refusing to confirm that the accident caused my implant to be displaced. The accident also caused the fat necrosis in my right breast that he should have told me could be removed when he replaced the displaced implant. IF YOU ARE A MEDICAID OR MEDICARE PATIENT DO NOT EXPECT TO BE TREATED FAIR.

Dr Swelstad and staff were so wonderful! I just had my one year anniversary and I am so please with my results! Everyone in the office is so nice and answered every question!! Wonderful experience!

Dr Swelstad is an amazing surgeon. I have been to other plastic surgeons and general surgeons in the past 28 years, and none compare to him. I have had 3 surgeries (2 in the last few months), performed by Dr. Swelstad and each surgery has come out better than I ever imagined. What I like about him... is kindness, compassionate heart, and he really listens. He doesn't downgrade you in any way or make you feel bad about the physical problems you face. Great bedside manner and I know he pays attention to details, like scarring etc... His work has made a huge difference in my life and I will be eternally thankful. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a top notch surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Swelstad.

Simple procedure bothched - Dr. Swelstad did not know how to use the in-office equipment, and now I have facial scars.

Excellent surgeon even though he's a packers fan

Dr. Swelstad has a wonderful bedside manner and is very confident and knowledgeable. He really cared about making me happy with my new size. One breast is slightly larger than the other, but me and my husband are the only ones that can tell. When I am fully dressed, it is not noticeable at all.

Dr Swelstad is amazing and I am thrilled with my new breasts! He was very kind and very knowledgable in his field. I would defiantly recommend Dr Matt to everyone!!
