Dr Wilson is the rare surgeon whose communication skills are as excellent as his surgical skills.

Dr. Wilson made me fell very comfortable. He was very kind and understanding. He explained things in a kind and understandable way.

Dr. Wilson ordered MRIs for my spine and I needed them done through a provider that would bill my insurance. The initial MRI provider that he chose would not bill my insurance. I don't know one MRI provider from another or how they work with my insurance. I found out that I needed to go to a different MRI provider who would work with my insurance, but only after Dr. Wilson's office created the initial referral. When I asked Dr. Wilson's staff for a referral to a different MRI provider, his assistant told me that according to Dr. Wilson, she had already spent too much time putting the order through for the first MRI referral and not to spend any more time on my second referral. This created confusion with my insurance and resulted in the insurance company doing an investigation into whether or not I was actually in need of medical care. Dr. Wilson's office couldn't care less. They acted as if their needs were greater than mine when all I was doing was trying to navigate the… difficult insurance/medical system and have images taken of my back that were accurate and showed where my pain was coming from while at the same time being covered by the expensive insurance plans that I've been paying for weekly for years. I ended up having to pay cash out of my pocket for the MRIs because Dr. Wilson's office wouldn't put through the MRI order to my choice of a MRI provider. Then , Dr. Wilson's office or Dr. Wilson (I never found out who exactly) decided that he or they wouldn't treat me any further. It was never really clear to me why Dr. Wilson ordered more MRIs if he never thought I was a surgical candidate. In the end, I'm still in pain, and he passed me off to another doctor. Dr. Wilson didn't really treat me at all. What he did was waste my time and cost me money. My mistake was going to his office at all. I don't know why I was treated this way by his office. And frankly, I just need to feel better, so a hassle from my health care provider is unacceptable. What ever happened to "Do no harm"?
