Dr. Medhat Nagi Elmasry, MD

I've been going to many doctors now to figure what this certain pain of been having and other thing. All the doctors in the past would say they can't diagnose the problem or they would send me to another doctor. Once I walked into Dr. Elmasry's clinic everything looked so professional especially Dr. Elmasry himself. The staff was very kind and welcoming also. Once talking with Dr. Elmasry, you could tell that I was his number one priority with the time i spent with him. He also figured out what was wrong with me in the first five minutes. He told me what medications I needed to take and other things I needed to do on my own, personal wise. I highly recommend Dr. Elmasry and you'll see why if you visit him yourself.

Dr. Elmasry does not have the best of bedside manners -- there are people who may be offended at his very honest approach. He absolutely takes the time to ask questions and to explain everything -- what he believes the issue to be, causes, treatment options, why tests are being done, and answers any and all questions. He is very thourough in his evaluations. He does tend to want to verify his diagnosis, to the extent possible, with confirming tests. This is often seen by patients as unnecessary - I see this as a mark of a good doctor -- which makes me trust him more. He has always been spot on and treatments have always worked. When I go to a new doctor, I 'test' them out -- I know some of my problems and history -- and am curious how they will explain/recommend treatments. I also research both before and after my visits -- this often allows me to ask more and better questions -- remember you are a party to your treatment -- you have to be both honest and involved. Again, his… bedside manner may put some people off, but I value the candor, honesty and explanations. Appointment availability and timeliness is excellent -- and his staff is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If anything he could be accused of being too thorough -- but hey -- it's my health -- wouldn't you prefer that than just glossing over things!!!

AFTER I FINISHED MY PAPERWORK I WAS SEEN WITHIN MINUTES, MY WAIT FOR HIM IN THE EXAM ROOM WAS LESS THAN 5 MIN. I FOUND HIM TO BE DIRECT AND NO NONSENSE,THO TOOK TIME TO POINT OUT ISSUES OF MY CONDITION I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT, AND I CONSIDER MYSELF A VERY EXPERIENCED PATIENT. HIS STAFF ARE PROFESSIONAL, WITHOUT BEING "COLD" ANSWERED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROCEDURES. DID BLOOD WORK IN THE OFFICE AND EXPLAINED WHY EVERY TEST WAS BEING DONE. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS NO X RAY ON SITE, BUT THEN MOST DOCTORS OFFICES DON'T ....

Wait time is too long in waiting area as well as in exam room. then you hear everything he is telling the patient in the next room because he has a tendency to yell at the patients. He orders unnecessary tests for problems that are not there and refers everyone to a specialist. Never does he have a diagnosis for anything other than asthma or URI.
