Dr. Melinda Beth Hart, MD

I had an appointment with Dr. Hart. She as well as the office staff were very nice and professional. I felt like Dr. Hart was very thorough and set up all of the follow up appointments that I needed. I would definitely recommend Dr. heart to anyone needing a specialist in her area expertise.

There is a huge communication problem between the doctor, staff and patient. No explanations are given why things are being scheduled. The staff is indignant when questioned. Their answer is come in and talk to the doctor directly and bring cash.

I am a snowbird from Northern Michigan, down in Nokomis for 5-1/2 months every winter. I prefer women doctors as much as possible at this point in life, and Dr. Hart was recommended to me by my main physician, Dr. Nair (also a wonderful physician!), of Gulf Coast Physicians. It turned out that I had cancer in both breasts, necessitating a complete mastectomy with a rebuild on right and a lumpectomy on left. During the past 3 months of appointments with Dr. Hart, she and her entire office staff (Cindy, Sandy, Linda and Tina) have been unbelievably kind, supportive, patient, helpful, friendly, understanding, etc. with every visit and/or phone call. There are literally hugs from these wonderful women at each visit! The expertise and professionalism of Dr. Hart comes through quickly, both in the office and at the hospital -- but she also "cares", which is so vital at a troubling time like this. So, I am now healed, Praise God, and give thanks that Dr. Hart and all of her staff are a… part of that. Thank you and God Bless each and every one of you wonderful ladies!!! Suzanne G. But that witch at the front desk is rude and just an ugly person. The one with the short blonde hair, can’t remember her name.

I was referred to this oncologist office by a local radiologist company, to my knowledge the staff called my work instead of my cell phone I asked them to please call my cell the woman Tina whom went home sick returned my phone call just to rude as well. I will not be using this company because of the company poor choice of rude employees.

Unprofessional, sloppy, an hour late coming to the office, when I cancelled my follow up staff gave me a hard time. Sores all over her arms and not covered up. When my doctor called her not pleased either.

My primary sent a referral to Dr. Hart after I had a bad mammogram. I never saw Dr. Hart. There was absolutely NO communication with her. She ordered an ultrasound, an MRI, and an MRI biopsy for me with absolutely NO explanation. I ended up going to the lab to get my results myself as her staff would not allow me to get them from the office. This was a nightmare I would not wish on any woman. Please go to a physician in Sarasota or Tampa.

I was referred to Dr. Hart by my PCP as well as a Doctor at the Radiology Association where a problem mammogram was found. She came highly recommended to me by both. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Hart very quickly and it was a pleasure to meet her. My husband was with me at this first appointment and she included him in the whole discussion of my cancer and made sure we understood what she was talking about and what she was showing us (we saw the mammogram on the screen in her office). She was very kind and took the time to have us relax a bit before going over all the shock of having cancer. She scheduled a biopsy within 2 days (Which Dr. Hart did herself) and a return visit to her office the day after --- so we could know the results quickly. I also had an MRI biopsy done, and that was done in a radiology facility by a doctor in that facility. Dr. Hart got back to me the next day with the results of that and spent quite a bit of time on the phone… explaining things to me. I want to add a comment here because when doctors and nurses in the profession have nothing but compliments for your surgeon and tell you that you have no worries because you have the bests!!! ---- you listen!!! - the nurses and the doctors had nothing by praise for Dr. Hart. One nurses whispered to me that I was in the best of hands with Dr. Hart, and that if anyone in her family ever needed breast surgery ... her recommendation would for sure and for certain be Dr. Hart. Bottom line: - I am one lucky gal to have Dr. Beth Hart as my surgeon! and Dr. Hart is lucky to have Cindy in her front office. I would recommend this team to everyone!

This doctor was arrogant, rude and antagonistic. Her bedside manor lacked the compassion which is worth everything to a woman facing a diagnosis of possible breast cancer. She was not interested in addressing any of my questions or concerns. There was neither any discussion in reference to my options. This bad experience delayed my treatment for another month while I searched for a different surgeon which made an already difficult situation more difficult to bare. I would hope that my decision to share this review will help other women in making the right choice while choosing a surgeon.

From the moment I knew I was being referred to a breast cancer specialist, I couldn't' help but have moments of concern, but all were set aside the moment I spoke with Dr. Hart's receptionist, Cindy. Appointments were set up as Wed for initial meeting, Thurs for biopsy, and results on Friday. With each meeting Dr. Hart provided easy-to-understand information and expectations without getting ahead of ourselves, and gave me a comforting touch during the biopsy. Fortunately, my results were good, but I know that I'll definitely go back to her should the need arise again. Highly recommend Dr. Hart - she's an experienced, professional with empathy for her patients.
