Dr. Melissa C Rainwater, MD

My doctor retired so I had to switch, on a whim I chose Dr. Rainwater. Couldn't be happier. She's very energetic, personable and thorough. Very happy with my decision to see her.

I feel totally ignored by Dr. Rainwater. I waited 5 months for an appt and spent the next 13 months without a diagdiagnosis. She just continued giving me various birth controls even when I explained they were not working and were causing more problems. I feel totally ignored and discouraged and am suffering without an answer. I really wanted to use her as my doctor, but I can no longer continue seeing her with no relief.

I LOVE Dr. Rainwater. She has delivered both of my children and is my Gynecologist. She is amazing and I would recommend her to everyone!

Dr. Rainwater is the best OBGYN I have ever had! She is a kind and caring doctor which can be very hard to find. She delivered my baby boy and I am pregnant and about to have another which I hope she will be able to deliver. With my last baby I got alot of postpartum problems which Dr. Rainwater figured out and treated. For anyone saying she is not a good doctor I would ask them to tell me of a better one, because I don't think that a better one could exist. She's a five star doctor all the way! Her nurses are awesome as well!

I had doctor rainwater for almost a year, I was in the most pain of my life just wanting answers, I waited 3 months to even get In to just talk to her about what was going wrong then I had to wait another month to even get a ultrasound, which she didn't even do and I did not get to talk to her until the next appointment and all she said was they are cysts we can't so anything about it except switch me birth controls 4 times which never helped and threw out pain pills at me for a year. And everytime I went back it was the same thing, I finally went to a new doctor and didn't have to wait even a week to get in, the first appointment he got down to business and went in and found out my colon was actually attached to my left ovary with a lot of ahesions. All this time I was told it was cysts, and was thrown pain pills at. I will never forget how little she cared about my pain. When I told her I was hurting very bad on my left side she shrugged and told me "Well i don't know why you are… hurting there." And let me go after that, that was the last time I saw her. I do not recommend ever going to a doctor that cares about a patient so little like that.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rainwater's for eight years. She has delivered both of my boys. She has a very lighthearted approach, which I find to be calming and reassuring. Yes, you have to wait a while, but her thoroughness is undeniable. I have several family members and friends who are at different stages of life and are all extremely pleased with Dr. Rainwater's service.

She doesn't want to talk about anything but babies. And you better plan on a long wait in only your underwear and a johnnie while is delivering one. If you have any menopause or peri-menoupause symptoms they will fall on a deaf ear. She isn't going to tell you about it or what to expect. She will poo-poo it.

Dr. Rainwater does not care if she is rude or offensive. She has very low personal ethics, and if you are her patient I hope that the fake grin she carries doesn't change into the low level of professionalism she demonstrated to us during our first pregnancy. If you choose her for your pregnancy, all we have to say for you is "Good Luck."
