Dr. Michael Edward Billhymer, MD

This was the second injury Dr. Billhymer helped me with. He is a great doctor. The staff are great. I would recommend Dr. Billhymer to anyone who needs orthopedic care/surgery.

I was admitted unconscious to the hospital and Billhymer was on call. He left a rod sticking out of my foot for a month. When i went to finalize the remainder of the surgery i was told they were negotiating with my insurance company because they were out of network. Then when i scheduled another do tor, Billhymer’s office called left a recorded message telling me i could cancel the other appt since they were finalizing with my insurance company. I had the surgery in the 90 day umbrella of the first surgery and then ended up being asked to pay for the second surgery out of pocket. Then for follow ups to the second surgery they began demanding i pay up front out of pocket for any visits. I was in a terrible accident and Billhymer’s office did accept payments from my insurance but being greedy and awful have continued to mend tens of thousands more due to their own mistakes!!!! Shame on them. I have since found another ortho who basically removed all of Billhymer’s implants and had to… redo my entire ankle and fuse it.. I hate doctors like this! If you dont want to accept on call duties from a hospital for emergency services under their ckntracts with insurance companies you should mot be an on call ER doctor!!! Shame in you for your position on this. I am still struggling to walk and move and the person who caused the accident had barely any coverage to help.
