Highly recommend him. He is very personable and explains everything so you will understand. He spends a lot of time with you. Would not go to anyone else.

Good friendly Doctor for a change ..thoroughly explained my knee Problem and gave me short term and long term prognosis . treatment was Cortesone and back in four months ...

I spent a large amount of time with Dr. Cooney after a double break to left ankle, tib,and a sprain. Wrok related injury. Terrified surgery would be involved due to my large build, I prepared for the worst as my GP said it was a real possibility, as did three other orthos two without an MRI or any radiological support. bottom line...MRI and scans later he opted for no surgery extreme dilligence to no weight bearing and then later intense PT and I am back at work and playing ball without spasms or reminders of the injury....I refer everyone who needs an ortho to him....

Dr Cooney is a great doctor that takes the time to answer all your questions that you have. Also he will always do the right thing by only doing surgery if needed. He has a positive outlook that will inspire you to strive for a 100% recovery. I was in a head on car crash in 1997 and if wasn't for Dr Cooney strive do everything he could I believe that I would have a lot of problems with legs. Thank you Dr Cooney for everything.
