Dr. Michael Robert Hausman, MD

I went to him with my third torn rotator cuff. He did not tell me he would be putting in a plate. Did not explain that I would have limited strength in my arm. He did not return the PT's phone calls. He would not return my phone calls. I told his secretary about a problem - I did not get a return phone call the next day. I called again "oh I forgot to tell him." He never called me - he had a resident, who had never seen me, call me. The resident would not call the PT; told me to tell the PT what he had told me.

10 o’clock appointment. Not seen at 10:45. Any doctor with such a fundamental disrespect for his patients should not be a medical professional.

Dr ignores your complaints. Evades answering questions. Looks briefly at films and spends less than 10 minutes. When he reviews them later, he calls you at home. Suggests pain should be treated by a psychiatrist.

I wanted to attach pictures of my middle finger of my hand but it didn’t allow me. I ended up having a hook finger. I’ve been devastated, depress and hide my right hand in public. It was a horrendous outcome.

Capable and nice; explained things clearly. There was a one hour wait, but I arrrived 20 minutes late, so the first third was on me.

Presented with elbow pain and injures documented on outside radiologic imaging from a local doc near my home. Hausman was dismissive from the get go. He ignored the CDs I presented and only reviewed them when I insisted after traveling nearly 90 min to see him. His exam was barely an exam at all. He did not bring my arm through any range of motion exercises or even feel the area that was injured. He even refused to believe I was in extraordinary pain, and experiencing weakness and limited ROM. He ordered no testing or imaging of his own. He dismissed my case and suggested I seek pain management. It turns out that I needed extensive neurosurgery on my arm, which was handled at a premier orthopedic hospital in the same city. This other hospital ordered new imaging and extensive diagnostic testing, as well as PT and bracing, and provided all of the support I needed pre and post surgery. Hausman offered me nothing except a waste of time in terrible traffic and nearly 90 min. waiting in his… exam room. He was condescending and arrogant. I can't imaging him caring for anyone. I would NOT recommend him or trust him to care for anyone.

Excellent clinician. Has treated my husband and me for many years. He goes the extra mile for his patients. Nice person too! I recommend Dr. Hausman.
