Amazing Dr. he did total hip replacements on me. Good as new. His staff is amazing. Jody is awesome and so helpful. Always so polite and helpful.

I wish I could give 5 stars, but the office staff is rude, surly, unhelpful and completely blew me off multiple times. It's too bad that such a great surgeon could have such a terrible staff.

Dr Johnson did a great job with my knee. Rehab is hard but improving each day. Office staff and surgery staff were very professional and accomodating. Would definetly use him again..

I would never go to anyone else but Dr. Michael Johnson. His bed side manner is amazing. He is so kind and really listens. He did an amazing job on my total hip. I was up moving well within 2 weeks. He has an amazing office staff. I can not say anything bad about him or the staff.

I had a pretty bad experience with this Dr. He didn't take my complaints seriously and was very dismissive. When he did finally order a CT scan (which took 3 visits of me INSISTING my hand was broken) which showed I needed surgery..immediately...he was very casual about missing the initial break and left immediately after my surgery without even telling the post op nurses what he'd done so they guessed.Side note: I saw him leaving the O.R in ski clothes while I was laying in post OP. Their guess included telling he'd put in a rod that would need further surgery..which was wrong. In post op visits he continued to be dismissive of my pain and concerns. At one point he did something to my hand one week after surgery without even a "this might hurt" warning that even his nurse gasped and looked away. He doesn't listen to you but then flashes this really big smile and tilted head...like he cares and is listening. I will definitely be seeing a different Dr. to follow up to the surgery he did… that IS STILL HURTING ME. My complaints are with his bedside manner, hurried approach and overall not caring attitude. I feel like surgery wise he did a good job.

If you are lucky enough to find Dr Johnson like I was,you will find him to be genuine, caring, knowledgeable, skillful and meticulous with concern for avoiding complications arising from less than perfect sanitary conditions under his control. I have both a new knee and hip. Recovery was a breeze. Believe me, I have plenty of experience with a wife who had a two hip replacements and upper and lower back surgeries. Different doctors and different hospitals made a difference. She died in the hospital of staph infection. I have confidence in Dr Johnson and I rate Alta View hospital as one of the best. Get lucky, use Michael.
