Dr. Michael Arthur Christopher Kane, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Kane's for over seven years. He listens first to what you want to accomplish and then makes recommendations. Then you decide together what course he will take. He is very honest and NEVER tried to oversell me on extra fillers or botox that I did not need. Often I would ask "do you think I need more" and he always smiles at me and says "no". He knows exactly how much you need and exactly where to inject. Run don't walk to this very briliant, talented and honest Plastic Surgeon. PS. his office staff/assistant are the best too!

Dr. Kane begins your visit by having you wash your face. Then he wants to know what bothers you about your face. Then he tells you what he sees and how he can help. I love his approach. Famous doctor...but no ego. He also uses something in his injections that reduces swelling at the time of injection. He is extremely gentle. His nurse is wonderful and I never felt like he was rushing to get me out of there. Love the results!! Very natural!!

From the moment I entered Dr Kane's office I knew I was in the right place. I was met with a warm smile from his receptionist and immediately shown into a treatment room for a consultation. Dr Kane was attentive and understood all my interests and concerns for using fillers and cosmetic surgery. He amswered all my questions. He made me feel at ease and comfortable with our decisions. I highly recommend him.

Heard was great with fillers but mine are lumpy and obvious can see them feel like weird looking was disappointed because had high expectations

I agree with the review below, that although his price is significantly higher for a filler procedure in the tear troughs, his expertise is lacking and does not match up to the price. I also assumed that he charged higher because he knew what he was doing, but he did not. He misinformed me about having "scar tissue", which was completely inaccurate, and also made my other tear trough asymmetric and it looked hollow. Last but not least, he is not so friendly and it takes a long time to book an appointment.

I had a Juvederm injection under my right eye because it was more hollow than my left and after couple of weeks I decided to get it for the other eye as well, so I started looking for a good Dr. to do it professionally and found Dr. Kane. His price was more expensive than any other doctor in New York, he charges $1500 for only one syringe, so I thought, he is expensive probably because he was good and was going to stand behind his work. So I waited 3 months to get an appointment and had it done (there was actually nothing really done, he was even shaking when he was injecting my under eye like if he had never done it before, he injected very little and asked me where I wanted to get the rest of the syringe, I told him that I didn't get enough under the eye, but he still insisted to put elsewhere on my face), 2 weeks later I went for my follow up, and was very disappointed as there was no result at all, and he said that he sees that and suggested me to wait 9 months to do the… correction, because according to him, I wasn't supposed to do the correction before 9 months, so I waited disparately all this time looking weird with different under eyes thinking that he was going to do it good this time. When I went to him, he asked me why I came to see him, I told him because he said, he was gonna do the correction, he said after 9 months passed already, I needed to have it redone and have to pay for a new procedure, so he betrayed me by asking me to wait that long, so he tried to prevent me from disputing the charge with my Amex. He didn't care about his reputation and about any ethics when he refused to correct his work. He made me lose $1500 for no result at all and wasted my time, I had to leave earlier from work to be able to go to him. I went to plastic surgeon in the midtown who charged me only $600 for a great result.I am filing a complaint against him with board and other organizations.

I have had various procedures with Dr Kane. What I like is that I look fantastic but I do not look like I have had any work done. He is very caring and considerate, honest and upfront about costs, pain, procedure and expected results. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We've been to Dr. Kane several times and while he has Manhattan prices, it is worth it! He is experienced, no nonsense and thorough. Would reccomend Dr. Kane a hundred times over!!
