Dr. Lazar didn't know that I was a retired family physician when he first saw me for BPH symptoms. I have seen at least 5 other urologists over the years and never have I had one be so thorough in his history taking, physical exam and clinical explanations as he. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fortunately, I had landed in his care. I thought I knew I would be opting for a robotic prostatectomy, but I learned of his expertise in managing early prostate cancer with a procedure called HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) recently approved by the FDA. The procedure performed in an outpatient surgery center went off without a hitch. I had some urethral scarring (not that common) that responded well to cystoscopic dilation and now I am voiding better than I have in years. Better yet, my 3 month post-op PSA is lower than I expected. I highly recommend Dr. Lazar for your urological needs. Not only do I regard him among the best clinically, he cares and will… spend the time you need to get your questions answered and your problem appropriately managed.
