He opened his practice in 1996 after obtaining his fellowship training at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL. He received a Bachelor of Science degree at Brown University in Providence, RI and an M.D. at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. McGuires training in orthopedic surgery was completed at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM.

He told me it was just cartilage going away, due to age. Got cortisone shot. Other injection. Pain got worse and worse. Went to another doctor for 2nd opinion. Kneecap out of place. After a year of 24/7 pain, had Lateral Release surgery. Pain is GONE. Can put weight on knee. After therapy I should be fine.

Paperwork completed, xrays taken and discussed. Dr McGuire was very professional and I am in the process of obtaining surgery clearance.

Had a torn ACL and Dr. McGuire has been excellent through the entire pre and post surgery process. Highly recommend.

After months of worrying and wondering what was the cause of pain to my knee, my primary care referred me to Las Cruces Orthopedics and I got the best of care, time was taken to explain what was the underlying cause of the pain and my options for treatment were explained. I chose the least invasive, I was made to feel that I had made a great choice. I was grateful for their understanding, being a widow and living alone, surgery is not an option. Thank you for understanding

Outstanding physician and surgeon! He does not jump the gun on surgery, but when it was time, he was thorough and responsive. I had other out of town options for surgery and am totally thrilled that I chose to have him do it!
