My husband was a patient at NWM hospital in DeKalb and we saw Dr. Monfils at the Sycamore office. Dr. Monfils is a wonderful combination of clinical expertise, communication skills along with a positive, compassionate demeanor who will provide a great joke to provide comedy relief when needed. I was pleased with his common sense approach and competency. No problem with staff, had a congenial conversation at the DeKalb office.

I don't know about the rest of you but if I am going to a doctor like this I am in pain and need help. The last thing I need is to deal with an angry and sympathetic staff who seems to hate their job. My advice is just stay away from this office.

Their receptionist is one of the most unpleasant persons I have ever meet. She really either hates her job or has an anger management issues or both. I am really disappointed my doctor referred me to this office and now I am thinking it's time for a new doctor. Just a completely unpleasant experience.

Dr. Monfils was wonderful! Put me at ease. I was petrified over the procedure and he made it as comfortable as possible! I worried for nothing! Nursing staff was also outstanding! No Complaints.

Dr Monfils is very patient. He also has great bedside manner. There were some complications with my surgery but he handled it very well. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon but as for his staff they are rude and definitely not people friendly

Called in regarding patient because he was away and never had a replacement follow up. Dangerously irresponsible with no accountability

My son had to have emergency surgery & Dr. Monfils was wonderful. He was patient, informative, & most of all made my son feel comfortable. As for his staff at our follow up visit... Rude, unempathetic, and very condescending. It is such a shame that Dr Monfils will loose us as a patient do to his staff's attitude.
