Dr. Ovadia and BayCare Morton Plant were absolutely fantastic. Had open heart, valve replacement and aortic aneurysm fixed. There are not enough words in the dictionary to express how professional, caring and competent Dr. Ovadia and Morton Plant were. I strongly suggest Dr. Ovadia if you are looking for a heart Dr.

Dr Ovadia did a partial decortication on my dad after he came in with a large pleural effusion. He did an excellent job and my dad felt a lot better after. Dr Ovadia has a great bedside manner and explains everything in a way the patient can understand

We ended up getting a 2nd opinion and going with that surgeon instead. There was just something lacking in this doctor.

Dr. Philip Ovadia M.D. took the time to explain procedures, informed me of the risks involved, and was thorough in answering my questions. I was very pleased that he took the time to make certain that I was fully informed, and that my expectations were realistic. After surgery he informed my family and answered their questions. Dr. Ovadia, by his actions, proves his commitment to his patients' physical and mental well being.

He saved my life. I had an aortic dissection and emergency surgery. He and Dr Vasalakis worked on me over a 2 day period repairing the issue. He is my hero. I owe him my life.
