Dr. Michael Parks, MDFAAOS

If you need a new hip or knee, do not hesitate to contact Dr. Parks. He is the very BEST! He gave me 2 new hips this past year, and I am out of chronic pain for the first time in many years, can stand upright and not holding on in dreadful pain. He explains everything very and has excellent bedside manners. His staff, his PA Grant and office staff are top notch. I am very grateful and thankful I found Dr. Parks

I had hip surgery with Dr Parks 2yrs ago and I am not happy with the outcome, I am not happy with the follow up appointments and the medical notes he has wrote in my chart.

Dr. Parks did my first knee replacement in 2006, and the second in 2017. I have been pain free and extremely satisfied with the surgeries performed by Dr. Parks. In addition to his excellent work, I find him to be a very warm and caring doctor. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone thinking about having knee or hip surgery.

Torgrim and I highly recommend HSS to all our family and friends. Dr. Parks and his great staff were so kind and considerate which made his hospital stay pleasant and easy to deal with. When the time comes for his other knee to be operated on, we hope to again do so at HSS, with Dr. Parks.

I am very happy with my new Hip . Dr Parks didn't push me to have it done. He said I would know when the time is right. My only complaint was the girls in the office at times didn't get back to me when they said they would . But all in all I would not hesitate to recommend him as a surgeon and HSS . It was worth my trip to NYC . He was also one of the few surgeons willing to take Medicare. which made a big difference.

I chose Dr Parks after not getting any where with my OS who did my knee replacement. I live 3 hours away. Met him last week and he gave me hope. My revision is in June. He knew right away what was wrong with me. X-rays didn't show a thing. Girls in his office so friendly and helpful. I have faith in Dr Parks

I waited until the last possible minute because i was busy being a wife and caregiver. He told me thatone day my knee would make itself my priority -- he was more than correct.

I came to Dr.Parks, after a total knee replacement, a manipulation, a fracture , and no range of motion. The doctor was honest, he did tell me not to expect a miracle, but he would be able to help me gain a few degrees of flexion and extension. Since I could not walk up and down steps, I thought any additional degree of flexion a miracle . This was going to be a revision surgery, my third in one year. I did my research, Dr Parks was a excellent surgeon. I saw him once during my hospital stay when he came to check on me and assure me that he had done all he could, the surgery went well and that I should see some improvement. I saw improvement for about 1 month then my body continued to form excessive scar tissue. Maybe nothing can ever be done about that, but when I requested my Operative report, Dr. Parks was not the SURGEON, his resident was. I will always wonder if my outcome would have been more positive if Dr. Parks had been the surgeon.

I had total knee replacement surgery with Dr. Michael Parks five weeks ago. My physical therapist is just amazed at the results, he says his patients are usually where I'm at, at three months. I also found Dr. Parks to be very personable and compassionate. I am forever grateful to him!
