Dr. Michael Francis Regan, MD

Dr. Regan replaced both of my hips (not at the same time) in 2017. Best thing I ever did. Have had no problems since. I found him very caring and knowledgeable. Have seen him each time I was in for follow-ups, compared to friends who had the same surgery and never were able to see anyone but the PA after the surgery was done. Sure, he is a bit arrogant, but you have to be to be a successful surgeon.

Have worked in healthcare for three decades. Ten minutes with this arrogant physician convinced me to go to Portland. Sad that there is not a decent ortho spine surgeon in L/A region. Local hospitals have a good opportunity to find a better doctor.

What a horrible experience to see elderly waiting for hours to be seen. Front end looks more like bet placers at a dog-track. Rude and inefficient. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment, I left. The clinic is dirty. Staff is not professional with their coming out and yelling across the large auditorium-like room the person's name. The holier than thou attitude aura of this facility is contradictory to the idea of patient first and servitude towards them.

1st impression good. Downhill from then on. Did hip replacement. Sent home next day with no homecare. Open Friday m drain removed that drained heavily for 14 days. Back in a week in terrible pain. Said x-ray didn't show anything wrong but when we started to point to break in femer, he clicked it off. Sent home for another week. Back with worse pain. Said he didn't see anything but we'd have to redo it. Sent home again for another week. Sent to rehab after but he told them noting of the break &they tried to get me off pain Jed's in a week. Went back to him and demanded he tell them what had really happened. Was rude, dismissive, and interrupted constantly. Did tell then. Went back to him at about 2 months, still in terrible pain. Same reaction. after 14 months of severe pain, swelling down to my toes, walker and sometimes wheelchair, had reconstructive surgery by an excellent surgeon in another practice. 7 weeks later, sm walking with a cane &hope to throw that away soon. Wouldn't… recommend him to anyone. Egotistical, self serving, tries to cover up even what is always a potential complication for a hip replacement.

Waited an hour past scheduled appt. time, just to be treated poorly, doesn't listen to patients, ask questions then cuts you off when answering, very obtuse.

The lack of knowledge ability to listen and god complex almost cost my minor son his leg. They provided virtually nothing for infection and pain medication, instead saying my son was being difficult and not going along with the plan. They threatened me with arrest and removal for speaking for my MINOR son. They held my son hostage there for 9 days . Precious days that would have made the difference in my sons care. They denied moving him to a hospital close to home and better suited to deal with his extreme injury. By the time I was able to have him moved to MGH he required 8 additional surgeries, CMMC & Dr Reagan missed a broken hand,a concussion and a raging infection which required 21/2 additional months in MGH fixing their errors. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. hit Right-Aid across the street for some band-aids you'll be better off.

I saw him once and that was enough for me. He thinks he can get results off of x-rays, which is nor true. An x-ray did not show the problem in my back but an MRI did. He beat me down in front of his nurse in the exam room. I had no choice but to fight back and when I was right he walked out of the room and left me hanging. There is something wrong in this Doctors head! No bed side manor or ethics at all. Please listen people.

Horrible, Pompus, cant even read his own xrays right

My first meeting went extremely well, I was with my wife and Dr Regan was very thorough in his diagnosis, even when I had to go for further xray's. He spent time with my wife, getting "the other side of the story". He explained my situation extremely thoroughly so I knew what my options were. This doctor put me totally at ease, and more importantly my wife really liked him and we feel confidence in his ability if I should choose surgery.
