Dr. Salata is great at explaining conditions and taking my concerns into consideration. After being misdiagnosed for 10 years, he was able to find the underlying problem. I am confident that he will do great with my surgery!

Went to him for repair of a labral tear of the hip .He was very encouraging, polite pre operatively, very positive. Said this surgery would take the place of a total hip. but when I came back 4 months later with increased pain, he was a real jerk!! Yelled at me, Said to me, “ well what do you expect?” Came in the room with his arms folded across his chest and an attitude right off the bat. Totally disrespectful!! Said I had”so much arthritis” , when the prep testing said I had minimal arthritis. He also had 2 women/staff with him that I didn’t know, never bothered to introduced them, they stood there like they belonged in the room. Have you guys ever heard of HIPPA??? This was a HIPPA violation. Also, they leave my personal info up on the computer screen after I leave the room. Another HIPPA violation, which they seem to be very lax about adhering to the HIPPA regulations. At least in my experience. I expected to have less pain, like I was told pre op. Now he’s telling me the only… thing that will “cure” me is to have a total hip, “so you might as well schedule it if you want your pain to go away”. So why did I bother to have the arthroscopy and labral tear repair??? I’ll never go to this guy again, and neither will anyone I know. I gave ZERO number of stars, and if I could give a negative number I would.

My daughter suffered from a dislocated knee cap and a torn ligament. After visiting with Dr. Salata at his office at Ahuja medical center, he recommended surgery. Dr. Salata took the time to explain the procedure exactly, and he also explained what to expect after. He was extremely direct and thorough which is highly appreciated! He also took the time to answer my teen daughters question about why he chose his profession. His response to my child restored my faith in humanity! He is an outstanding healthcare provider with the right balance of professionalism, dedication, skillfulness and compassion! His surgical skills are beyond amazing. I am truly blessed that we have such an amazing internationally known surgeon. Dr.Salata also went above and beyond in choosing his team. All interactions were professional, compassionate, and thorough with a smile.
