Great doctor, a veteran in pain medicine.

Dr. Yang is a very experienced Pain medicine doc. He has sympathy for patients and great follow-up

Does not care about his patients or there pain he is a text book Dr and sees people as $$$ and at that is very rude

I have seen dr yang twice he is very patient and kind. Dr yang listened to all of my concerns regarding my conditions and reassured me that he will provide the best care possible. I found it comforting that he was honest regarding the new pain medication guidelines and didn't treat me as a drug seeker because I asked many questions worried because the medication over the counter meds and epidural help me get through the day.

I would never recommend this Doctor. I have been seen and diagnosed with C.R.P.S. by multiple specialists so there is no doubt as to my diagnosis. Before my injury I was a dancer, 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. I went from that to being trapped in my living room for months and unable to do menial tasks b/c of the pain. I repeatedly asked for assistance with depression, anxiety, and/or counseling. I told him it HAD to be part of the CRPS b/c it wasn't part of me before. He told me to go pay for it out of pocket (i'm a worker's comp patient, and if you know what that means then you know i'm not even paying all of my own bills right now). I ended up in the E.R. full on panic attack w/ a side of suicidal thoughts. After treatment I became aware of my situation. Dr Yang used to say things to me like "we're taking shots in the dark here" "science doesn't know anything about CRPS yet" and was fast tracking me through a series of spinal injections with the main goal of doing a major spinal… surgery. If you google "CRPS depression" up pops a government site. Want to know what it says? A CRPS patient should be seen for psychotherapy treatment for depression/anxiety/PTSD before pain treatment begins b/c these mental side effects of the syndrome make the pain seem more intense and the patient less likely to respond to any pain treatments. He ignored me. He lied to me at our last appointment and said he "would try to refer me." This man was not concerned with me as a patient or my recovery. He was concerned with the money he could make off of me. He never even bother to google my condition and do a little reading and re-education. Maybe things have changed a little since medical school... On the flip-side Dr. Campos, his colleague, get's 10 thumbs up (yes, 5 people's worth of thumbs up). He treated me twice, both by accident. He showed concern for my insomnia, my depression, my anxiety, he even did an injection for me and I had NO negative side effects after. My first injection I was taken in with an increased heart rate, sweating, in panic mode... Dr Yang had to say "picture" somewhere in between 15-20 times for every adjustment of the needle and x-ray he had to take. It felt like he had a needle in my back attached to a joystick. It also felt like I had been kicked by a barnyard animal for 4 days after my procedure, my entire right leg went numb for a day, and I had pain radiating down my leg as well as up for a day. NONE of that with Campos. He never even said "picture" once... He even promised to refer me to a psychotherapist if I were to begin treatment with him, but I had already begun proceedings to see a new doctor.

Dr. Yang is an excellent physician. He is very competent at giving spinal injections to relieve back pain. His staff leaves a lot to be desired. They are slow, poor at returning calls and not very friendly. This may mean that the office manager is not doing their job and/or poor training.

I have seen Dr Yang for over two years now. He's very sweet and very skilled. His epidurals have really improved my quality of life and I feel very comfortable and safe in his hands. I know I never need to worry. He's a magician with the epidurals :)

If you like being ignored, trivialized, and being treated like a criminal, then Summit Pain Alliance is for you! You can play telephone tag with them all day or email them or even send snail mail and be confident you will be ignored. Dr. Yang and staff know they have the upper hand. You need them, but they don't need you! Question anything or show the slightest annoyance - no matter what they do - and you will be out looking for a new doctor. Nothing is going to stand in the way of Dr. Yang's ambitions. If you want your pain medication from this pain clinic, you'd better learn to be humble and grovel.

I been going there for 6 months . And I get a certified letter that didn't even go to the write address and I didn't sign . My last visit was great I got a letter saying 30 day notice and any appts within the 30 day canceled not even signed by the doctor . It only gave me 2 weeks to find a doctor . I don't know what to do ... I'm on heavy cancer pain meds and there goin to cold turkey me .. .

I want to start off saying that Dr. Hau is great! He is very compassionate, caring and truly cares for his patients. I have been seeing them for about 6-7 months for chronic back pain. The office staff is absolutely horrible, very rude and just plain don't care about being there or helping their patients (except for Melanie). They don't follow up, return phone calls and they can never get insurance or billing information correct. They do not follow up on referrals and PT requests issued by Dr. Hau. I was informed when i arrived at my last appointment that it was cancelled. I was not notified of this. When I inquired it was from an insurance and billing issue. Apparently my insurance has denied all my claims so they refused to see me. However when i check my EOB and also call, there is no record of them ever being submitted. The epidural's I had from Dr Hau at the Surgery Institute however went through fine. I was then sent to their new billing office because they couldn't help.… Their new billing office said they don't take Blue Cross or Blue Shield, which is not true. A complete cluster! I asked to leave a message for Dr. Hau because i feel this is being handled horribly and he should know how bad is office staff runs their clinic, they refused to do so. Imagine that! I got a copy of my records and will find someone else. This is very unfortunate because the doctors there are amazing!
