Dr. Michelle Elhajjaoui

I recently lost my mother quite quickly due to an aggressive breast cancer. When I started to have symptoms I wouldn't take wait as an answer. I started pushing the pcp for a mammogram. During the mammogram the tech saw something and immediately went and pushed for a stat ultrasound and mri for the following morning. I knew I had cancer. I started pushing harder for a surgeon and wouldn't allow a needle biospy due my history of 2 other times of breast cancer and then my mom and aunt passing this year suddenly. Once the results after the lumpectomy came in I called right away the Dr El's office and spoke with an amazing staff personnel member who also helped me speak and get my pcp to get the referral right away. This personnel staff spoke with Dr. El and I was immediately booked for a same day appointment. The course of treatment I picked for myself was based on my own medical history and then family history. Dr El listened with such compassion and understood what I needed. Dr. El… strongly encouraged me to do what I felt was right due all information. Breast cancer is scary, heck all cancer is scary. Dr El made sure I felt at ease with my decision of a double mastectomy. I couldn't imagine going through this stage in my life with any other doctor than Dr. El.

My husband was diagnosed in 9/24 with stage 3 liver cancer. Devastating! We were fortunate to have a great referral for Dr. Michelle El-Hajjaoui; a knowledgeable, common-sense, and compassionate Dr with Emanate Health (prior with City of Hope) who we will refer today and always. Dr completed and followed my hubby's diagnosis with necessary labs and PET scans and a care plan including immunotherapy at Emanate's state-of-the-art, in-house infusion center and liver embolizations at City of Hope. She was also open to a liver histotripsy my husband had researched at another Southern California facility, one of only a few local facilities offering this treatment. In 1/26 we started using the word "remission"! We continue to follow-up with Dr El for labs and scans and her optimistic boost! Over 2 years every phone call returned; every worry listened to with care; every consideration extended. We feel so blessed to have found an oncologist with a mind and heart for medicine and her patients.
