Dr. Michelle Anne Meyer, PhD

Dr. Meyer saw my son when he was around 2, 3, and 4. At 2 years old, he was fixated on cars and initially she said maybe he had ODD. Then when he was a bit older maybe 4 she told me his tantrum resembled 2 year old behavior. She didn’t give any diagnosis kept saying he’s fine. I wish I wouldn’t have wasted my time with Dr. Meyer. How is it that a Medi-Cal office can diagnose him with ADHD and the regional center can diagnose Autism and Kaiser Pasadena can diagnose Autism/ ADHD, but Dr. Meyer sees him 3x and tells me he was fine. She was supposed to put in a referral for OT for him and never did. He lost out on years of intervention now he’s 6 and just getting intervention. She kept telling me she didn’t see Autism and he’s so social and looks at her but NO I knew what I saw. All the Early Intervention progress reports had low social/ emotional scores, low adaptive scores, behaviors, and no potty training until 5 and she still said nothing was wrong. Turns out I was right. Only took me… going to Kaiser Pasadena that has better services and psychologists. She has a limited view of Autism and ADHD and will probably only diagnose ADHD if your kid is jumping around or if your autistic child can’t talk or look at you and is flapping hands entire time and is level 3. Lower support needs kids need to be diagnosed too.
