Dr. Perez-Cruet is amazing. He performed my outpatient, minimally invasive lumbar surgery. His background, experience, and credentials in neurosurgery are A+++> and beyond! He is world-renowned in minimalistic neurosurgery and has worldwide respect. Totally, I trust Dr. Perez-Cruet as a neurosurgeon and as a person. He will only do what is best for his patient. Dr. Perez-Cruet is the apex of neurosurgery! If you want the best, he is the one!

This Dr will never get even an okay review from me. I saw him twice. First time nice, thorough and wanted more tests. Got said tests and went in there today. He walks in the room what are you doing here he says. I felt like asking him if he was looking at the correct chart. Finally I said are we done here and he replies yes we are. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I felt humiliated as I walked out of his office.

I had a very complex case and was in a lot of pain. After consultation, Dr. Mick performed a difficult min. invasive surgery with an implant and i am completely pain free for the first time in over 10 years. Follow-up was efficient and very good. He really knows his stuff! He was recommended to me by another surgeon who felt my case was too complex and needed an expert. Very thankful.

Dr Mick performed spinal surgery on me 10 years ago and I have been so grateful as he gave me quality of life. I give thanks for his gift to me everyday .

Dr. Perez-Cruet was my first opinion. After ordering a myelogram, he hardly looked at the results and told me I needed a laminectomy for L-13-L14. I felt rushed into scheduling a surgery that would be a "one and done," no further surgeries necessary. One of his staff was surprised that I would agree to surgery since there had been no attempts at conservative treatment, but my insurance approved the surgery anyway. I opted to cancel after consulting with physical therapists and my chiropractor and decided to see a different surgeon who had a very different take. I ended up with neck surgery, since that area was more critical. Dr. Perez-Cruet would have eventually done the neck. I'm glad I avoided the back surgery; I think it would have been a mistake for me.

what a weasel, no eye contact, no exam, no discussion

On my first visit the Dr. said "you have several issues with your neck. There is a lot going on." He ordered a myelogram. On second visit he barely looked at the myelogram results and quickly dismissed me after saying my pain was due to muscle spasms. They handed me a generic physical therapy script and out he went. What a huge waste of my time not to mention the time and money spent on the myelogram. My dx: arrogance.

Very nice man, excellent surgeon. Direct and right to the point, not overflowing with bedside manner, but he and staff did exceptional job on my lumbar fusion. Hospital was the best. Good experience at Beaumont.

Dr Perez-Cruet is the best. I saw him for a second spine surgery after my first surgery, from a different surgeon, failed. I started feeling better immediately and now I am doing great !
