Dr. Mickey Franklin Plymale

He worked on my fiance' and he was down to earth, just like a regular person. The surgery lasted only 15 minutes or so we have been very pleased. Everyone at the office was professional and courteous! We will use him when his knee has to be replaced also!

I came to Dr.Plymale as a second opinion. He was very prompt and courteous. He spent about fifteen minutes explaining to me what was going on and how to best treat it. He answered all the questions that I had, and was overall fantastic!

Dr. Plymale has been one of Jesus Father Jehovah's many blessings to me. God bless him always.

Dr. Plymale has performed surgery on my son and my husband. Both went extremely well, were scheduled quickly and had excellent results. He is very easy to talk with and genuinely cares about his patients!

Spoke like a human to me and explained everything in a way I could understand and made. Me feel confident in the plan WE made for my care.

Getting an appointment was easy and all of the support staff were excellent - friendly and efficient. They were running about 1/2 hr behind, but that isn't too bad. Unfortunately, I felt like my appointment was rushed and not taken seriously. The doctor's standard operating procedure seems to be to get x-rays before seeing you or speaking to you, and making a decision based on that. Perhaps that is not abnormal, but I found it rather startling. On top of that, he did not seem to show much interest in looking at the injury, but, when he did finally see me, directed his 'diagnosis' to the nurse (not to me). I don't know yet if the diagnosis was correct, but he did seem in a hurry and did not seem to have the time or interest to look into it, so I am wondering if I'd be better off seeing someone else next time.

Dr. Plymale seemed rushed and as if he didn't want to spend time with me trying to accurately diagnose my issue. He obtained an x-ray, looked at it, and said to me "I'm not going to recommend an MRI because it's a waste of your money and won't give you any answers." He then gave me my diagnosis, recommended I obtain a physical therapist of my own choosing, and left. He was extremely rude during the entire examination. When I got home, I researched what he had diagnosed me with and quickly realized that was not at all what was going on with me. I called that same day to get a second opinion from a doctor in the same practice. After seeing him, he told me I should have had an MRI from the beginning, so one was scheduled. The results of my MRI showed a buildup of scar tissue in my knee, something that does not show up on x-rays. He recommended I see a physical therapist and his office actually got the appointment set up for me. I've seen many doctors throughout my lifetime and have NEVER… had as bad an experience as I did with Dr. Plymale.
